We stay here for four nights during the week of Memorial Day (May 24-27, 2024), site was 44, which is a pull in drive way, fit a trailer and a sedan. (Keep in mind there is a fee for a second vehicle.) Not to far from the restroom ( the cleanest restroom there is) the host really take care of the place, has a facet for cleaning or getting water ( just don't wash your dishes there, not allow) Be ware if ya'll are heading in the summer, there was a few yellowjacket and wasp, we brought a trap to prevent getting strung, didn't get strung but get one if you needed. There were a couple of flies, friend got a fly trapper too so took care of that. When we went, there weren't mosquitos but again, we got a spray and sprayed just in case. I had t-mobile and there wasn't any signal, but if you drive out of the campground, you get signal right away. The site was pretty decent, you can put two tents and have a lot of room, fire pit was pretty deep, a nice concrete picnic table and trees all around; which you can bring a hammock and tied around the truck. Across of the site was the Sunset Crater Visitor Center that leads you to the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, worth the drive and visit, there's a few view spots that you can bring food to have a picture and the views are just spectacular. This site is about an hour and forty-five minutes away from the Grand Canyon, about thirty minutes away from Flagstaff for your grocery needs. They don't have showers here but I recommend ya'll to shower at Little America Travel Center (2515 East Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004) showers were only $15.00 (tax included) and they have a freaking bathtub with a separate shower. You have an hour to take a shower or bath, they provide with one towel, hand towel and a mat towel. Especially after a long day at the Grand Canyon, a much needed shower that last more than thirty minutes is great. I hope this reviews helps to anyone that is planning...

Nicely spaced, paved campsites that are mostly level. Potable water spigots are available at the restrooms but no spigots to fill RV tanks. These are all dry camp sites with no hookups. Tent camping is available.

The campground is located within a grove of ponderosa pines and is one of the cleanest campgrounds we’ve ever been to. Everything from the fire pits to grills are spotless. The restrooms are equally clean and surpass any truck stop restroom.

The hosts, Frank and Sandy were exceptional. Friendly, extremely helpful and always cruising the park keeping things organized like a well tuned machine.

The pull through sites are narrow. They’re fine if your rig doesn’t have slides but staying on the pavement without sending your slides into traffic can be difficult.

$34 a night for dry camping and no RV Dump leans a little to the high side but the quiet cleanliness of this place closes the gap. In fact, we stayed an extra day because it was so nice and yes, we’d stay here again!

My only complaint is Recreation.gov continues to be a hot mess. It shows pretty much everything sold out yet when you’re in the park, it’s a far cry from capacity. I feel sorry for the hosts updating the posts on a continual basis just to watch the site go unoccupied. It needs to be fixed or just make all the sites first come, first served with a 14 day...

One of the best! We have stayed there numerous times this summer, and we were never disappointed. The spaces are very spacious, so social distancing is NOT an issue. The park is super clean, including the bathrooms (there are no shower facilities though). The hosts are FANTASTIC! They not only keep everything in tip top shape, they are very friendly, helpful, and make sure that park rules are enforced; so there are no loud parties, radio's blasting, or people speeding thru the park. Each evening, they drive thru the park to see if anyone needs firewood which they deliver ($$). They are the best hosts we have encountered in a long time! Each time we were there, we made new friends who we hope to run into again. There is fresh, good drinking water available at each bathroom building. Sites available are either back in or curbside. The curbside ones seem to be a little more level. There is lots of areas to explore, either on foot or with your vehicle. We will definitely be back! Safe...

This is a very clean and quiet campground with lots of trees, clean bathrooms and trash cans throughout and the managers are very friendly and helpful. Spaces 1-22 are 1st come 1st serve. We have a 34" motorhome and got into space 22, but it was too sloped and we could not level it so we moved to space 15 and had somewhat the same issue, but with some work got it leveled. Spaces 1-22 just barely fit our rig with our Jeep because you have to stay on the pavement, so a big trailer with a big truck couldn't fit into those spaces. However, some of the reserve sites are bigger and more level. No hookups, quiet hours are 10pm-6am. I recommend it for an overnight stay, or even a week. It's 25 minutes to Flagstaff so you can easily shop for groceries or go to a restaurant.
