This is a great campground! $15/night on a first come first served basis for up to 7 consecutive days. There are only 12 campsites and they fill up fast!! We got there at 10:30 on a thursday morning and there were only 3 sites left. The campground is clean. Pit outhouses (which are honestly the cleanest in the park because only the campers use them). I thought it was going to be really hot, but I was surprised how cool it felt under the man-made canopy which each campground has. I only gave this campground a 4-star review because the night we stayed, it was super windy. The wind made our night pretty miserable. Not sure if this is common here, but be prepared and definitely stake your tent and don't leave out anything that...

We stumbled into this campground after searching without luck for a place to stay. We purposely didn't make any reservations so we could have a flexible schedule. Though it said the campground was full, we drove in and immediately found the perfect spot. It was spacious, clean, and one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed in. Nice covered area, big clean picnic table and 2 bathrooms that felt cleaner than most. (Even had hand sanitizer!) The biggest difference was the silence! So odd compared with most campgrounds. The night skies were amazing. Defintely would...

Pulled in to find a few open spots. Was getting ready to pay for the night and the neighbor had their car literally torn apart. Everything was all over the place. I asked what was going on and they said there is a huge mouse problem in this campground. The rv that was in the spot I was in left because they had mice/rats wrecking havoc in their rv through the night. We were a long way away from home and didn't want to chance any problems, so we moved on. Shame cause its a...

First come first served primitive campsite. Arrive early, pick a spot, pay using the envelope and leave the filled form at your site to secure the spot. From the campsite, it’s just a short walk to the nearest viewpoint, where ranger talks (stargazing) are held at night. In the morning, deer visited us for breakfast. One of our favorite campsites!

Great campground! $20/night. Bathrooms and garbage. No water, so bring your own. Sites are limited, so show up early and make sure to leave a chair or anything in your site to let people know you're there. Really close to the lookout and makes a great sunrise walk from the campground with amazing views.
