Free BLM camping! Interesting history of the Colorado river and canals in this farming area…some cool old equipment & markers tell you a little about it! Read moreLot's of different birds to watch. Plenty of good fishing available. Free camping up to 10days (some linger longer). There are 2 boat ramps, people camp around one of them heavily. There is a FREE LTVA but crowded, no hookups. Only a few spots around the lake available for privacy, most are crowded around each other. 4x4 and bicycle trails EVERYWHERE out here. Surrounded by agriculture, you will get waves of stinky water but that's a small price to pay for enjoying this free BLM/Wildlife...

Boat launch and dock to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the lake, with birds galore.
Windy all day and dusty, but the winds calm in the evening for a fire or a walk in the moonlight, listening to the coyotes yipping. Stars out my window are stunning and it's silent. Beautiful spot.
