We stayed at the Quail Ridge Resort #143 this first week of March. The owner/manager is easy to communicate with via email, and I had good directions and key code prior to arrival. Pros: The location is nice, right in between the town of Taos and Taos Ski Valley, so easy to go in and eat or buy groceries/gas. We enjoyed playing some tennis when we arrived and the hot tub after skiing each day. The studio is clean and we really liked the instructions that they had posted around to make it easy to use and find things. Cons: I thought the bed was a bit on the hard side and the sheets were really rough.. so I'd maybe bring my own sheets next time lol, and the sofa sleeper was like any normal sofa sleeper :)... I'd also bring my own non-stick frying pan, sharp knife, and a pasta pot for cooking... as those weren't available...lastly, the blinds aren't blackout, so when the sun comes up... it gets bright quickly lol so we were up with the sun each day.. which wasn't terrible since we wanted to be on the slopes early.. but if you want to sleep in it might be tough!... . overall we had a great stay, and...

Read moreThe best thing about our stay was the view. We were told that unit we stayed in was one of the most updated. If that's true, I would hate to see -- much less stay in -- one of the others. The furnishings were terribly outdated and dark. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Both of the tennis courts we played on had "bubbles" where the surface was pulling apart from the subsurface creating a barely playable situation. Also there were roots pushing through the subsurface that were hazardous. We stayed in a studio, essentially one room and a very small bathroom, and were charged a $75 cleaning fee, completely outrageous for a space that size particularly when it was just the two of us. Furthermore the resort has a 10AM check-out time which is unacceptable, and again, outdated. The included Wi-Fi service never worked for us in the two days we were there. Even though the rate was only $99/nt, it's not a good value. We will not return and definitely would NOT...
