Waited over an hour after being seated for our food. TIP: ask how long food service is taking.
We went on a Sunday expecting some wait time. We were ready for a wait.
However, after being seated, it took an hour and 10 minutes to get our food.
When we arrived the wait staff sat us right away. The dining area had one large table already eating, another large table waiting and 5 tables empty so we thought it wasn't going to be too bad. Still prepared mentally that it was Sunday at a restaurant, we sat down happily and patiently.
Unfortunately 70 minutes later we got our food with an inquiry at 30 with the excuse of large tables.
The food was fantastic and better quality than in the Taos Diner for a dish I had always ordered there. Red Chile sauce on the side was excellent. Husband loved his too.
Another 10 after eating they processed the payment.
70 min waiting 20 eating 10 waiting to sign the bill
100 minutes we were bored and so ready to leave and annoyed.
Wait staff is polite and attentive but the kitchen makes their job tough.
Waiting for food is torture and this was the second time like this.
Suggestion:
If you go to eat here ask "How long is food taking?"
Asking "how long is the wait?" is irrelevant.
Bring some cards to play so you don't get bored.
We will do that next time as it is deceiving by the tables and no one said the kitchen was so very very behind - especially for...
Read more3 star rating is due to mismanagement. The kitchen and servers are not able to keep up with the number of tables in the restaurant. Although it only took 15 minutes to be seated, and only another 10 minutes to get drinks and order, it took 80 minutes more to get our food, and several more minutes to get silverware to eat it with. Sunday is a busy day and there is a sign warning of 40 minute+ wait times (which was only visible from our table). But 80 minutes is too long under any circumstances and you also have to try to catch someone walking by if you want water or tea or coffee or napkins or to go boxes or silverware or the check. The servers are overwhelmed and can’t be proactive (although they have great attitudes and are incredibly friendly). 5 stars on the food which was great once we got it. The atmosphere is nice both inside and out. In order to retain customers, they need to reduce the number of tables they seat to match the kitchen and waitstaff’s capacity to proactively serve people in a...
Read moreThe food was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been looking forward to eating here since I gave out gift certificates for Christmas. Finally we made it in and it was delicious! My husband and I shared the Chile cheese fries, Christmas, while we eating for our entrees. I had the frittata, which had the yummiest veggies and was seasoned really well. The potatoes could’ve been cooked a little longer but we’re tasty. My husband had the cheese enchiladas, Christmas, and the Spanish rice that came with it was amazing.
I love that their chile is vegetarian friendly, it’s so delicious. I’ve also had their waffles, which are everything you hope a waffle to be. Their breakfast tacos are great too, the pico de gallo on top just takes the flavor profile over the top.
I can’t wait to keep coming back here! 10/10 am going to...
