We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort — Hotel in Four Corners States

Well my friends, You know l can't write a review until I eat here and win at BINGO, so bring it on, lol.😁 Well my friends today 4/5/2025 l decided to go play BINGO, sessions Matinee and evening session. Win or loose, l still have fun. I lost on the pizza 🍕 that the DAUBS is offering. Don't lie to me and tell me its fresh. At 3:16 pm I went to get a couple of slices of pizza. It looked good on the display. I was hungry and I love 🍕. Today l lost. It looked good on display. I asked the ladies behind the counter. How long have been on display? the pizza, She said it's a hour old. OK I will try it. I got sasage paid for it. I went to sit down where I am playing BINGO tonight. WOWWW I lifted up out of the to go box,the pizza 🍕 didnt bend or nothing it was like card board with toppings on it couldnt taste the sauce on it. It's was like day old pizza 🍕 Ok people this pizza 🍕 is old😫. I tried to eat it because it was time to eat, I am a diebetic. So I did have to force it down until the crust I should had never baught it. Boy wow,the crust, l normally eat all crust, not today. IT was hard as a rock, sorry bad pizza 🍕, I think that it stayed way longer on the display wayyyy to long and still trying to sell it as pizza 🍕. I couldn't tell if it's fresh or store baught, I think it's store baught. I took it back to the ladies and told her. Her response was I told you it's been on display for 1 hour old. LoL she offer me another slice of pizza 🍕. I said no thanks. Not even a refund or partial payment. It should have been thrown away in the first place. It's a gamble eating out too. I won't buy from there again until it's changed. Today 4/6/2025 Time to play BINGO on Sunday Matinee and eving sessions. So I am here to get my pizza 🍕 problem token care of. I went to the food counter and asked for Ty, I showed the lady my yesterday reciept. So she tagged Ty. He was busy and another manager showed up. I explained everything to the manager, I should have gotten his name. Ge took care of the pizza 🍕 problem. Fresh pizza 🍕 but would l buy it again? Only if I was really really hungry. I think that the manager said what do you expect for cheap pizza 🍕 lol. Store baught at its best. He said they .are it fresh. Try something new. P.S. lt would be nice that Wekopa would give out FREE T SHIRTS 👕 😃 = FREE AVERSTISEMENT. I don't see any t shirts worn anywhere in the valley. I wear 2 xl when you hand them out when l play BINGO, Just sayin. 5/11/2025 Today on Mother's Day. I like playing BINGO, win or loose, I enjoy it. So my friends I was getting a little bit hungry. I don't care what the have offer at the buffet. So I gritted my teeth and headed to the DAUBS snak bar. They really don't have much to offer and I was hungry. I ordered the cheese nachos and the chicken 🐔 quesadillas. It shouldn't be bad. Bur wait my friends for me, this isn't for everyone and it's not for me. Sorry if this place is making good money. I would like to see better food choices. Sorry I have worked in the restaurants in the past, l sampled a lot of good food and lots of bad foods. Well today has finally pushed me form eating at WEKOPA CASINO. The food needs to change. So when I got my order, the boxes 📦 🙃 was cold, they should've had a little warmth to the boxes 📦, they didn't. I proceed to touch the food.COLD, both orders. Nachos cold, the chips were stale, not even warm, like they were right out of the bag, and the cheese, well not even hot🔥. So on to the chicken quesadilla, COLD, Its like the smallest tortias there was. After eating it left a bad taste, a film in my mouth. And the salsa, nah, nope.dont order what I did. The second time I have ordered something and lost. I didn't go back and complained but why, this is what they thinks its bes!!¡ l won't eat here ever again.. l will praise for good food good service and I well cretic bad food bad service. Just sayin my friends. Sometimes change is good sometimes change is bad. The old food court had a great menu, lots of choices, I never complained ...

We-ko-pa is interesting. I've pondered this review for a while now and am still uncertain of how i word it.

I went for a recent lending conference they had. I think some of the issues were the fault of the company hosting it so I won't go too hard but still have a couple things to share.

First, the location is great. It's far enough outside of Phoenix to feel like a getaway spot. It's at the beginning of a great little road trip highway if headed north and it's a pretty standard casino. Second, when it comes to ways to take your money they are typical. All the options you need to destroy yourself financially. I mean, all the ways to have some fun throwing away dollars. Third, it's your typical Native American Hotel and Casino. I can't think of anything that makes it stand out or be memorable. That can be a positive thing so don't think bad overall. No complaints in any of that.

I have one thing to judge negatively though. Anhala, the cafe/restraunt. I have only eaten there one time and was with one other person. If you like to wait 20+ minutes at an almost empty spot for disappointment, Anhala will work. My colleague got a chicken club wrap. It looked pretty good and was a nice sized meal but my colleague ate about half and then decided the chewing wasn't worth the effort to be moderately disappointed. Then there was my Philly "cheese with steak-ums flavored" sandwich. The pictures don't do it justice. This is the cheese from one half of a maybe 6 inch sub. The disgusting glob of vomit inducing rubber is about half an inch thick and stretches at least 6-8 inches. I literally had bread with maybe 3 millimeter thick steak-ums and about 26 ounces of cheese. 26 ounces for each 3 inch half. I didn't even eat this nonsense as I wouldn't have been able to poop for a week or so after if I had. I'm not sure if it was just from seeing this sick looking rubber slab or if it was really just that bad. After this picture I was nauseous for an hour. I only ate most of one half (minus the cheese) because just seeing this kind of turns your stomach. You must not ever call this a Philly Cheese. Total false statement. Steak-ums are not even meat let alone steak.

That being said, the other people I spoke to said the other places they ate were the kind of the same. So, it's an average place to gamble, an average place to stay, an average place for a conference but it seems like it's a casino that should have a disclaimer of "B.Y.O.F"(ood). Overall it's fun, go donate to their people and have a good time but my advice is don't go hungry. I've been a long-time Valley-based Customer of Wekopa (20+ years), and this was my 'Go-To' casino because it's always been a wonderful experience: the grounds are beautiful, the staff are professional and friendly, and it was my favorite place to go when I needed a mini 'life-break'! I now have severely limited personal time, and I haven't had 'time off' in several months, and I was so excited to see I had a 'Loyalty Offer Code' that would cover a night at Wekopa: I literally cried I was so excited to get some 'me time' that is desperately needed! I was contacted by phone by a Wekopa agent regarding the booking only to be told by the Player's Club (or Reservations Desk, not sure which it was at that point), on the phone that I was "Not eligible for the room", and, even though I explained I could see an Offer Code linked to my account, there was no attempt to rectify the posted Offer, I was simply offered a Standard Room at $79.00+ taxes, which was not what I was entitled to based on their website under my Player Account: I would have accepted a Standard Room if it was offered at $0.00, but that was not even offered! This situation is false advertising because the code was linked under my personal Player Account details, and it should be honored accordingly, and zero effort was made to honor it. While I know they don't care as I'm just one person that doesn't have thousands in spend each year in my Player Account like I used to since my life and responsibilities have changed, I will absolutely never return to this establishment, and I'll make sure everyone knows to be aware Wekopa may not honor what is posted in your Player's Club 'Offer Codes', even when it is there in black and white. I assume I had this Offer Code since I'd been a customer over 20 years, and I was excited to come and enjoy an overnight chance to relax and treat myself to a nice dinner and maybe some Blackjack or Bingo, but I'd never return to a place that does not honor their posted Offers, and, clearly doesn't care about their customers, especially long-term ones. I absolutely loved this place, and I'll miss it, and I never had a bad experience in over 20 years, so, I give kudos for many great years and memories, and I'll miss those...
