Had to click one star to submit review. I'm from the immediate area and this off the highway, 'country' place held some nice memories for us as a couple. Used to be what I'd call 'shabby chic' as late as 2013. You could see the owners were trying... well maintained outside, was always clean, painted, vacuumed, vases of flowers on the table, cloth shower curtains, fresh towels, soap, shampoo, small fridge, microwave, coffee pot...even with some welfare residents in the back.||Well, fast forward to 2/15/15.... HORRIBLE! First, the parking lot and driveways weren't plowed...only a path to the office...not even shoveled in front of the rooms. The office itself was dirty and in disarray. I was asked for 65.00 when the internet price listed between 49.50 to 54.00. The Indian woman there was nice enough and advised me that the owner was very concerned about cleanliness, maid service and doing the right thing (??). She opened a cupboard and handed me 2 white hand towels, one white bath towel and a tan, frayed bath towel that was deeply wrinkled and 3 decaf coffee packets.... no regular coffee packets were available, no sugar or creamer. Inside the room it was obvious it hadn't been vacuumed in awhile and there were recent smokers. There was a lamp on the floor in a corner where a table had been. The coffee pot was on a tray on the floor next to that, then the fridge with the microwave on top. Everything was dirty outside, food drips and residue... inside the microwave had old microwave popcorn 'butter' and dried carrots. In the night table drawer, someone had eaten one Tastycake Krimpet and saved the other one in it's package and left it. It was so hard I could have used it as a weapon. The table by the window was dirty with old residue, a stained cloth chair. The toilet bowl had crud and old urine from a man who missed his mark. Just SAD and TERRIBLE! ||To be fair, I have to say the sheets were clean and the CO2/fire alarm, cable,TV, fridge, microwave, heat all worked but...really? GROSS!!! Who would stay here unless they were forced to, like the the long term residents we saw?! NOT EVEN MINIMAL EFFORT was put into making this room acceptably livable between persons. We even called in the am of the day we wanted to check in to see if there was a room available...they had ample time to make the room clean and presentable. I've camped in better conditions and know horses that live in cleaner barns. ||PASS THIS ONE UP!!! If you're desperate, can't drive any further, make sure you check the room before you pay! I am left wondering if this place is even operating as a motel anymore and that it's simply for poor, unfortunate section 8 or...
Read moreI am here from Florida visiting family in Broadway, NJ and she mentioned this place to me as somewhere a friend of hers stayed at years ago and that it wasn't too bad. Fast forward to 2019, upon entering the office area you could immediately smell a foul odor. When Indian the man came up front he still had shaving cream on the sides of his face so they must live there, he was rude right from the beginning, I asked to book a room a few days in advance and he said come back that day he doesn't book ahead and he then said he only takes $75 cash per day as payment. When he asked how many would be staying I said my husband and myself and I mentioned that I had a service animal, he immediately went off on me and said "Can't you read it says No Pets" I informed him that my dog wasn't a pet he is my service dog who detects seizures for me, he then proceeded to swear at me and said "It's a f@#$ing animal" and slammed the little office window shut and walked away. I had the proper medical papers with me and to be treated this way was very disturbing. After reading these reviews I lucked out! Also my family members neighbor told us that when people are released from the Warren county jail that this is where they stay and that the owners are paid by the state for this, they deserve to...
Read moreLet’s start with the place is an old apartment looking motel . Only cash accepted more than obvious they are still operating in the last century. The location is out in the woods of washington . I had a very unpleasant visit and surely didn’t stay . The person at the window was more concerned to know who my boyfriend was since he was sitting in the car . Asked me for his identification and rudely asked for him to come in and see him. I told him why if I was the one paying and he proceeded to tell me if he didn’t come in for me to rent elsewhere . I felt profiled since I’m Spanish and my boyfriend is black not to mention the attendant seen from India or somewhere similar. Have better customer service so u won’t wonder why ur business is struggling to stay afloat. That’s why I stick to real hotels … and Ofcourse I rented a nice room in a...
