Reservations were made online weeks prior and calls were attempted to be made to ensure the hotel could accommodate us by having a cot available (as per their website) We were told they could not help us and it could be done in person, to go online and do it ourselves or to call back later, then they hung up... After taking a plane and over 8 hours of driving from Montreal to Jersey, we arrived at the hotel and were met by one of the receptionists giving hell to her Spanish speaking coworker, saying, "... we have no patience around here..." When I suggested patience would go a long way... Rudeness seems to be common out of this establishment... It just got progressively worse from here... After much condescending behavior from reception, we were sent to a floor that smelled like a fat man was about to jump around the corner with a beer bottle and cigarette in hand... My son tried to use the toilet just to have it slip over and him almost falling into the bowl... We had to call down to have a cot sent up, which came with nasty dirty sheets and cobwebs attached... The receptionist then tried saying we should have called earlier because all of their cots were already rented out 🙄 The four days we stayed here were filled with stress, and each time we went to reception, nothing about it was done saying, "...oh you too? Yes, other guests have complained..." Like, it's something they're just used to hearing 😕 so they move on... When we tried to speak to management, he was rude and dismissive.... He became defensive and began suggesting all the things I could have done differently, saying, "... well, if it was that bad, why didn't you just leave the first day..." fully knowing there was no way we could find another hotel for 4 adults and 2 kids... Mind you, we should have been only charged for 3 adults since one of the youth was only 18 and legal age in the US is 21 as far as I'm aware.... Anyway, if you stay here, expect to be treated like garbage... They will place you on the same floor where they have full-time living residents who smoke and bang doors while yelling and fighting at all hours of the night... We were nicely woken up early in the am to a bunch of construction workers peeping into the room as they began to tear down the roof outside our window....When we told the manager, his response was "...I did not know of any construction happening outside your room 🙄 Lastly, paperwork goes missing at their front desk so you might not get your full deposit back... We spent over a grand to have asthma attacks, worry for the neighbors screaming at each other, have zero room service or proper linen to accommodate (2 towels for 6 people... really?) and the attitude we were given when we asked for more to be sent up was truly an American experience... I recommend this place if you're looking to leave more stressed than when you arrived... Ps... it is not close to anything, so expect to drive... Pss.. expect to drive to get a decent cup of coffee unless you want to use the crusty pot they have hanging out on the bathroom counter...

Booked and paid through my choice membership a week in advance. On the day of checkin called the front desk for two hours early checkin, as demanded by front desk (a male person) I agree to pay $40 extra for early checkin. Drove for 90 minutes to reach hotel, waited 15 minutes for someone to show up to check us in. The front desk lady (an Indian lady) started attending phone calls and took like 20mins to attend & talk to us. The Indian lady (attached her photo) at the front desk is completely disrespectful & rude. She told Hotel will allow checkin only after 3:00 PM, inspite of showing her the call history and earlier discussion over the phone, she bluntly denied anyone calling the front desk or any male person answering the calls. Inspite of agreeing for extra charge & earlier discussion, We requested to allow two hrs early checkin as we are already in the city/hotel, but the lady was VERY unprofessional, rudely denied the checkin & gave free suggestion to go around the city until 3:00 PM. ARE YOU SERIOUS...!! As we already paid, we went out & came back at 3:00 PM. Now male front desk guy (can be seen in picture took 45 minutes to checkin. Even he was rude to us & other guests. Posting the pictures and videos of the person talking to the guests. He open the room with his master key & two hours late gave us the key as the lock system was not working. Rooms Don't, and I mean DONT book here. Nothing works! The disgusting smell in the rooms and hallway. The elevator is broken, our room lock was broken off, the shower wouldn’t turn on, the power outlets on either bedside table lamps didn’t worked. All the outlets in the room were broken or loose, charges fell right out when you plugged them in. Room service Will not get room service while you're staying at the hotel, no fresh towels, no cleaning, no bedsheets change during your extra days stay. No breakfast on offer. there was no continental breakfast. No coffee or anything in the Lobby. Staff is rude and intrusive. They knock on our door an hour before check out and reminded checkout time to make sure we check by 11:00 AM. I wouldn’t expect this from a hotel which claims as a 3-star hotel and charge $90 per night. I wouldn't recommend staying there for any type of event, for family vacation or business. If I could give a ZERO rating I would. Horrible staff, VERY unprofessional.

If comfort and cleanliness are important to you PLEAAAAASSSEEEE DO NOOOOTT STAY HERE!! I checked in early morning due to a special circumstance. They are pet friendly so I had my cat with me. Honestly, the lobby wasn't bad. It looked more modern than the rooms. When I got upstairs to the room, I had trouble with the key card. After trying several times, the door finally opened. The rooms were very dated. After a quick glance around, I could tell this room hasn't actually been cleaned in a while. There were crumbs of some sort on the floor that I had to clean up so my cat wouldn't eat it. My husband found vomit on the floor by one of the beds. There was a empty mini liquor bottle behind tv stand. I couldn't find the tv remote initially. When I was looking for my cat, I saw the remote behind the bed along with some other trash, dirt and dust. No point in looking for the remote though as there are only limited channels and picture quality of some channels was horrible. My cat kept hiding under the bed because she was nervous being in another place. (Honestly, I was concerned for her with all the dirt and dust because she's already dealing with a respiratory issue) Once we had to lift the bed to get her, and on the box spring was a brown turd looking thing. We honestly don't know what that thing was. Also there were no towels and washcloths in the room, except the dingy one hanging on the shower from the last person. When the housekeeping lady knocked on the door, there was a language barrier. However, I did manage to get one towel from her. There were also stains all over everything. My husband immediately went to complain when he got there and was told he had to wait until morning to speak with a manager. In the morning when we checked out, manager still wasn't there. We were given a card with the managers info and that was it. We did call corporate the next day and were offered a portion of what we paid for compensation. If I pay next to nothing for a room, I know what to expect. But they are charging regular rates for these dirty, dusty, disgusting outdated rooms. Its a shame because maybe other Clarions are nice, but I will never stay at another Clarion again!! They ruined it for everyone. DON'T STAY HERE!!!

This is the worst hotel in Somerset. The staff is rude, every single person I’ve had the displeasure of interacting with there ruins my stay before anything else can. Don’t know where to start so I’ll start with the small stuff first and work my way up. The outlets are loose, you’re lucky if you have one singular outlet that works in the entire room and it will probably be in the bathroom. Their showers don’t work, last time I was here the water just never got warm at all and this time (got screwed by priceline i would have never stayed here again intentionally) the water temperature and pressure kept changing while i was taking a 15 minute shower. Both me and the person I was staying with found ticks on us afterwards, me in the hotel room on my scalp and the other they found on their arm after we had checked out. Speaking of checkout, I was literally on the toilet around 10:30 which is half an hour before checkout at 11 and SOMEONE OPENED THE DOOR TO THE ROOM. I had to jump up from the toilet, rip open the bathroom door and by the time I did that they finally realized they should’ve never been there to begin with and was closing the door. I slammed the all the locks on the door which I did not have on because the person I was staying with had left like 20 minutes before that. I heard little taps beforehand but so soft I thought it was knocks on another door down the hall, no announcement of housekeeping, nothing. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE WALKING INTO PEOPLES ROOMS HALF AN HOUR BEFORE THEY ARE CHECKING OUT YOU HAVE TO ANNOUNCE YOURSELF FIRST. I would’ve chased them down the hall except I was ACTIVELY USING THE BATHROOM. And I should’ve complained to the front desk but in all honesty I was in such a rush to get the tf out of there and going back to my first point the staff here is AWFUL and would not have done anything. The lowlife man I checked in with literally lied to my face while I was checking in, I was complaining about the $75 deposit fee when the rooms suck and I had no knowledge of it because I booked this on Priceline and you know what this mf says to me? “I put it there myself”. On a third party website that every other time I’ve had issues with the staff at the hotel couldn’t help me BECAUSE of it being a third party website???? Absolute POS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. There are so many better hotels in Somerset, look by Davidson Ave they may be more expensive but this one is damn near $100 a night to leave wishing I slapped somebody.

EDIT. also this place is attached to a hooters. Not hating on hooters but don’t claim to be a luxury hotel when...
