Hideaway Cove Condominiums & Resort — Hotel in Franklin Township

My family and I had to find out that the kayaks, yes both of them had holes in the bottom that lead to my husband and nephew both being stranded at 2 separate places on the lake. Being later in the evening when they took off for a quick run of the lake, it quickly turned dark and it was very difficult to find them in the paddle boat which ALSO was faulty. The propeller fell off the paddle boat in middle of the lake!! I had two 6 yr olds w/me, if you can imagine that....... upset, worried, scared, thank God we were all back together and safe by 11 pm. This could of ended up very differently! You could clearly see the kayaks had been fixed or attempted to be fixed because of the black tar like substance all over the bottom. Trying to plug wholes in a boat you would think someone would check to make sure the repairs actually worked, before sending visitors off with a false sense of security. Then using the paddle boat as a rescue seemed like a good idea until the propeller fell off about 100 feet from the docks so now ALL OF US WERE STUCK OUT IN THE WATER. IN THE DARK WHICH MADE IT 100 TIMES WORSE! Needless to say we were all very upset and scared, the kids traumatized their afraid to even go on our kayaks at home now. I don't think the owners realize that something like that ruined our few short days we had, not to mention the sand fleas on the beach were absolutely annoying still today I'm suffering from all the sand flea bites, and I left on the 3rd of August!! THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED WITH PROPER INSPECTIONS ON THERE 'FREE' KAYAKS AND PADDLE BOATS. THATS THE LEAST THEY COULD DO FOR $250/NIGHT. I can stay home and be miserable for free! I am VERY disappointed with Hideaway Cove Cabins. My personal experience sucked! I am so blessed my baby's and family are home and ok today but lil ones won't be going far into any lake anytime soon, they were pretty scared!! Wish I had a different story to tell. This was definitely one of my worst experiences on a trip. HOPEFULLY they will purchase new kayaks now that they know there cheap repair jobs do not work. SAFETY FIRST PEOPLE! ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO CHILDREN! Almost forgot about the television not working most of the time!! They have 3 remotes that don't belong to anything there. They put a 15 yr old Comcast remote in there that barely controls volume and channels, when it decides to work. (It wasn't a battery issue, changed em to make sure)

We had a very good stay. The cabins are clean and equipped if everything you need.The only thing you need to bring is clothes,and a little food to snack on. There is so many good places to eat,and things to do. If you need anything just ask the girls ,they will help you out.Loved the beach area and the sunsets. We would love to come back again an again.Thank you for a wonderful well overdue vacation.Steve & Linda Lester. P.S. We still never seen...

It was a nice and quiet location. There was a boat, but no motor, and while there were 2 kayaks one of them leaked. The beach was nice if not a little small. My biggest issue was the lack of places to hang wet things. We had 6 people in our cabin, and there wasn't anywhere in the rooms to hang wet...
