Very nice, clean, and 1.8mi from Knoebels. This is not a place for you, if you like to stretch the rules. Quite times are 10pm to 9am...would have liked 11pm-8am. The lifeguard on duty is great. She was very helpful to kids that scraped knees falling (thank you!). The open grassy areas behind the campers allowed for lawn games and socializing with other campers. Site 8D was plenty large enough for a 34' travel trailer and two vehicles. Others sites seemed to have the same capacity. No worries about not having your golf cart...everything is within walking or biking distance. The fishing pond is best using poppers or any non barbed lures. Overall, it is a very family friendly place to camp and a lot of fun!

We have a seasonal site at J&D Campground. This is our 4th year and we absolutely love it. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place. Our site in near the stream and the kids love to tube when the water is high enough like it is today. J&D offers many amenities including all full hook up sites, laundry facility, dog park, 2 playgrounds, mini golf, tether ball, numerous fields for the kids to get s kick ball game going, 2 stream you can fish in, a fishing pond, a camp store and candy store. The store also includes items you may have forgotten. If you are looking for an RV park to relax in this is your place. Oh, and the sites are good size too!

This campground offers plenty of sites with full hook-ups. The location is quiet and beautiful. There are 2 bath houses, a playground, 2 ponds (1 for fishing), and a creek. Only 5 minutes from Knoebels amusement park, and they also have a small pool. The campground office sells firewood and other camping necessities. Directly across the street, within walking distance, there's an ice cream shop with 50 flavors of soft serve, hot food and hand dipped ice cream. The campground is very well maintained and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly!

Had a very nice stay here in Catawissa. Chose this due to it having full hook ups and its very close proximity to Knoebels (closer than Lake Glory). Grounds were neat and clean, very well kept and laid out with lots of trees and flat and level areas. Not too much for the kids to enjoy other than a small pool, basic playground and the mini golf area the kids thought was pretty lame (their words) but the ice cream stand just across the road was a huge bonus that we enjoyed every night during our stay. Mostly seasonal sites along the creek. We got the last site for the dates we were looking in Section A, 9A to be exact. Sites were comfortably wide enough that you didn't feel on top of one another. A few steps from the pool and both restrooms/showers. Our site was plenty wide enough but would have preferred a site longer in length. The opposite side of us they appeared to be longer. This made our fire ring useless since you are not allowed to move them, as it's in a very bad location...at the very back of our site right next to a line of arborvitaes and far too close to our camper. They don't like anything on the grass...gravel only. One issue we had other than the fire ring is our daughter came up for one night when she dropped the grandkids off with us. We were told by the lady on the phone, by the guy who lead us to our site and also read in the RULES no more than one vehicle in all of Section A. She had to park down by the office even though our site was plenty wide enough for her to fit and still be on the gravel cause she didn't want to cause us a problem. This is obviously not enforced AT ALL as 5 sites in a row across from us ALL had 2 vehicles parked on their sites the entire 4 days we were there. If it's not going to be enforced then allow it since they can obviously fit 2 vehicles anyway. We abided by their rules. Probably won't be back unless we bring the grandkids with us to go to Knoebels since it's really the only thing in the area to do besides the Red Hill Deer Farm which I would have loved to visit but they close a 4p and are also closed on Sundays and Mondays...oh well. But if you choose to stay here, I'm sure...

If you don’t mind your campsite being moved or treated rudely by the owners then this is your campground but not for me! I have for the past few years been booking the same site beside my daughter. In January we send in our deposit like the slip of paper they give you says to do with your site number in the memo box. We did just that. This past weekend I called to see if anyone was in our spot so we could plan on coming early. I told the lady who answered the phone who I was and I was in D15, she proceeded to tell me no you’re not you are in E18 like you requested. I said I did not request that site and she said well you sure did so you and your daughter could be together. I told her but we were together in the D sections and she said no you weren’t very rudely and proceeded to tell me there is a group that comes all the time and they always request the D sites. I wasn’t going to argue with her so we arrived and I went to check in. I asked the lady at the desk if she was new because I didn’t remember seeing her before and she said no she has been there about 5 years. I told her about the situation with our sites being moved and when we questioned it we were treated very rudely and she said no ma’am that was not me that was the owners! I said ok thank you and went on my way. On Saturday I called the office to rebook for next year and I was told “oh I don’t think we can do that, we should part ways”, at first I thought they were talking to someone else, I said excuse me, and she repeated the same thing and went on to tell me how rude my daughter and I were to her 75 year old staff and she won’t have that and so on and so on. Once again I didn’t argue I just said ok thank you and hung up. I was actually shocked! I didn’t know that I wasn’t allowed to ask a simple question or I wouldn’t be able to return!! This is America and remember J&D you lost me as a paying customer I didn’t lose anything! I suggest the owners change their attitudes before your camp ground sits empty. No one deserves to be treated like you...

If I could give zero stars I would. I do not leave bad reviews but this one needs to be said. We have been camping here for several years, in the exact same site every year. We rebook before we leave for the same site. This year as we’re driving to the campground our friends tell us someone has just backed into our spot. I call the campground and during the conversation the staff member reveals that she isn’t in the office but she’ll let the office know to give us the site on the opposite side of our friends that we are camping with. Great! I give her about 20-30 minutes and I call back to confirm that we’re all set. She says yes you’re in 4E. Another text comes from our friends and now someone is backing into our new site that we were promised. I call back and get the same staff member I spoke with. She has no sympathy whatsoever and tells me that if I want 4E to be next to our friends that we need to tell the people in our site to move and she’s not going to do anything about it. At this point we were 15 minutes from the campground. I then find out that this is the owner and she is still not in the office. 2 hour ride there and we turned around at a gas station and went home. I would not give that woman any of my money and will never go back. Terrible service, no compassion and didn’t even make any attempt to fix...
