My first impression of this hotel was five stars. Jessica, our check-in attendant, was very friendly. The lobby was modern and super clean. When we got up to the room it was super spacious and I loved the layout! It made it easy to feel like you were in a suite as opposed to a regular room. The closet was very generously sized and I loved the fact that the shower was in a separate "room" than the toilet. The beds were super comfortable. It was great that the couch had a trundle that could be pulled out for extra persons. The air worked super well. Back to the front desk Jessica was super accommodating and helpful throughout our stay! She gave me paper to help with a surprise I needed to do, when we ordered dinner in she called up to the room to let us know it was there immediately and then offered us plates and utensils, which we didn't have. This was a HUGE help to us since we have 8 year old triplets we were traveling with. My triplets enjoyed their time in the indoor pool, which was nice & clean. The next morning breakfast was delicious with plenty of options for even the pickiest of eaters. Jessica was down there again with her smile & friendly personality! When we visit again this will definitely be our place! You will not be disappointed if you stay here!
My one and only con about the hotel was the frosted glass type sliding doors. I LOVED the sliding doors aspect, however the frosted glass lets so much light through in the middle of the night if someone gets up and uses the bathroom with the light on, but it fits the aesthetic of the room so well and...
Read moreBeware of extra charges! My room had no lotion, tissues or cups, I overlooked that because hotel is new and room was very clean and spacious. Front desk gave me what I asked. It turned sour when I saw they charged my room rate PLUS additional $150.00 two weeks after my stay. When I called to get clarity on the situation, they denied the other charge.
15 mins later he finally sees the charge, “150.00 was for items missing from the room.” Being a housekeeper at a nearby Mariott myself, I said this is crazy because I did not take the pillowcase and blanket (?) they said was missing. I told them that I myself am a housekeeper upon arrival, checkout, and on phone. Left a good tip, made sure the room was tidy and stripped, ALL linens on bed. Trying to dispute this charge, Tony transferred me to manager Lisa, who was dismissive because I asked her, “Is this how the hotel makes money? Charging people extra for “missing items”? This made her so upset that she threatened to call my manager to tell them… tell them what? Lol. These people were very dismissive, rude, and even hung up on me. I never raised my voice or said anything offensive, I spoke the truth and it bothered them. Won’t be...
Read more1 night stay with my kids and mother for the state fair. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the directions on Google maps takes you to the wrong location inside the town of Frederica, when this hotel is actually off of Rt 1. When we were directed to the wrong location by Google maps we called the hotel to clarify location yet no one answered the phone. Thankfully, we were able to get back on Rt 1 and find the hotel on our own, but for those travelling from out of town be aware of the wrong map location. Overall though, it was a clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and good complimentary breakfast. The pool area was indoors and clean. Gym was clean and equipment was new. Front desk staff were friendly. There really isn't much nearby this hotel besides a liquor store but it served our needs to be near the DE State Fair and was perfect for a 1 night stay. I would stay again if ever...
