A True "Haven" on Earth – The Perfect Honeymoon Retreat Haven Yurts truly lives up to its name—it’s a haven on earth. My wife and I were beyond excited to book our honeymoon weekend here after hearing nothing but incredible things about the experience. The photos alone were enough to convince us, but the reality was even better.

One of the biggest reasons we chose Haven Yurts was to bridge our different travel styles. I love the outdoors and camping, while my wife enjoys nature but has no desire to rough it in a tent. Enter Haven Yurts, the perfect blend of glamping, comfort, and solitude in the heart of Texas wine country.

Nestled in the rolling landscapes of the Texas Hill Country, this retreat was everything we hoped for and more. We were conveniently located just 10 minutes from Luckenbach and 15 minutes from Fredericksburg, surrounded by an abundance of wineries, charming eateries, and breathtaking scenery. It was the ideal base to explore, relax, and indulge in the beauty of the region.

What made our stay truly magical was the peaceful atmosphere—time seemed to slow down, and the star-filled Texas sky lit up our nights in the most breathtaking way. Each evening, we found ourselves unwinding by the inviting firepit with comfortable seating, soaking in the quiet serenity of our surroundings.

Beyond the beauty and location, the accommodations were exceptional. Every yurt is fully self-contained, offering a small but well-equipped kitchenette, a spacious glass shower, and a comfortable bed with soft, luxurious linens. The romantic fireplace added the perfect cozy touch, making it an ideal setting for a honeymoon. There was even a TV—though we never turned it on because we came here to truly disconnect and get away.

We also appreciated the secure site access and well-thought-out privacy, which allowed us to fully relax knowing we were in a safe and tranquil environment.

The Haven Yurts team was outstanding, staying in constant communication and ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect honeymoon. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making us feel welcomed and at ease from start to finish.

We loved our stay! We couldn’t have picked a better place for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. From the moment we stepped out of our car we were so amazed with this place, the surroundings, nature, everything so well decorated and so functional. The yurt is so beautifully decorated, perfect combination of simplicity and elegance. Everything was so clean, and it still smelled like new. The kitchenette is such a perk, we loved having our breakfast with a cup of coffee. There’s a grill in common area, which made us decide to have our anniversary dinner at the yurt instead of going out to a restaurant. HEB is super close, 15min away, made it so convenient to get our steak to grill. The yurt is in a perfect spot, you feel secluded yet so close to everything, grocery, Main Street and so many wineries, literally surrounded by it. We can’t say enough how much we enjoyed staying here. Not only is the property so lovely but most of all the customer service and the owner, Melissa, are such a delight. Truly one of a kind! My stay at Haven Yurts in Fredericksburg was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was thoughtfully designed for relaxation and connection with nature. The yurt itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly spacious—combining rustic charm with modern comfort. We loved having a fully equipped kitchenette, comfy bed, and even AC, which made our stay cozy no matter the weather.

The setting is peaceful and private, nestled among the trees with gorgeous Hill Country views. At night, we sat out by the fire pit under a sky full of stars—so serene. The location is also just a short drive from downtown Fredericksburg, wineries, and hiking trails, which made it the perfect base for exploring the area.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, offering great local tips while also giving us the space to unwind. You can tell they care deeply about the guest experience.
