Royal Garden Resort — Hotel in Garden City

Visited here 25 years no upgrades to units, elevators, furniture. Not clean, elevators putrid, have not seen pool be clean by anyone yet, dangerous doors all around in units and stairwells, super dirty all around no cleaning what so ever by any staff, balcony railing and door unsafe. Nice people. Umbrellas, pools, chairs, bar, jacuzzi, kiddie pools, deck, oceanfront, balcony. Air conditioner has not worked since check in, realtor sent ac guy one day then another maintenance man the next. Still not working. Maintenance man did something and took down ceiling tiles to let nasty water pour from the bathroom ceiling all over my toilet which cannot use this cannot be safe water is pouring on electric wires and water is bulging through ceiling tiles. Have dumped 2 buckets of water so far. Maintenance man said whatever he did taking down ceiling tiles guarantee to make ac work. No AC and my vacation is almost over and so much wasted energy and time due to realtors handling of problem. Clearly my family should have been moved to a new unit immediately. Cant imagine how dirty the unit is hopefully we don't catch COVID 19 from this condo it...

Royal Garden Resort is a good place to visit. The views are AMAZING. The parking garage can be an issue. We rented a unit long term (6+ months) and when we moved in, it had issues. The HVAC leaked horrible, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. They finally replaced the HVAC unit after we continued to complain about it for over two weeks. Ceiling tiles were missing in our unit. The building itself is in okay condition. The indoor pool and hot tub was completed redone this year. The bar/restaurant Salty Pickle that is located in the building is a great addition. The smoking area is in the worst possible location. Every time that we leave we are forced to walk through the smokers, which is disgusting. They need to move the designated smoking area somewhere else OR make this entire property smoke free. We rented unit 1505. The kitchen is okay. We experienced problems with the code to get in our unit also. The Realtor forgot to email or text us our new code (since they change it...

Not the worst by no means but diffinatly not the best by any means for the price. 115 dollar house cleaning bill will be added to the total room price so be warned. Hot tub was not working with no reimbursement fee. Just tuff luck I guess. Each room is independently owned. Good luck on choice. Room 912 was not the cleanest that I have seen. Not a bad motel but just way to many better in that area to settle for what they offer for price. Needed up dated by far. Woman on phone that took our info for 2 rooms 3 beds booked us for 2 beds. That's the 1 to 3 part. The 3 to 5 part is guy at desk took care of that problem immediately. Good location. Great views. Ac and plumbing worked great. They cleaned and took care of outside location. Nice pier with food breakfast and ice cream that's only a mile walk away. Traffic is not as crazy as main strip myrtel beach area.
