First off, the proprietors, Eric and Pam, are the most caring and festive folk in the industry. When the flood washed away everything and wrecked the cabin we were staying in, as we were in the area for my husband's job, they took a shocked and sobbing me gently in hand. Eric found us a spot immediately and we elected to stay for the remainder of the outage.

It feels like coming home and the building is both historic and unique. However, it's Eric and Pam who make the experience wonderful. Not just for us, but for everyone who stays here. From fishermen to Bachelorette parties, to tourists and seasonal work people, they treat everyone with the most awesomesauce amazing respect. This place feels like a home away from home, as opposed to some place to just spend the night. And you can't beat the view, the Mississippi is right across the street and the Bluffs...

A Fabulous place to stay located in a great little small town filled with wonderful people. The Loft and Stone house are by far the best lodging in Genoa. I’ve stayed at every Motel or Inn that Genoa has to offer besides captain hooks and this place wins by a far shot. Like I said it’s a very comfortable and “Homey” environment with enough sleep area for a large party.
