Great place for camping if you don't mind a mileish trip in. The trail is a little steep in a few places but it's smooth enough to take a stroller, wagon, and/or mountain bike with trailer if you can't quite commit to just a backpack. Firewood is provided although it's in large pieces so bring a hatchet, there are 4 composting toilets, and there is non potable water available. Read moreThere are only ten campsites here to the south side of the parky lot. It is about 1.3 miles from the parking lot to the camp ground. It is incredibly pretty particularly during wild flower season. We watched fire works here before the 4th of July. We also watched multiple thunderstorms hit Denver. The lady answering the phone was rude as hell, and said they only allow 3 days of camping with tents only- and it's not free but wouldn't give how much it costs per night. Great way to kill your business, having false information online about it and then being rude to potential customers calling for information! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone...
