First off, I would have to say that the customer service there was great, she really tried given the circumstances. But we came across many issues. My significant other and I stayed at the Rainer Cabin. We chose this because of the hot tub. Well, we get up there and we were showed around which was nice. While she was showing us the place she was redoing the bed spread and checking the bathroom to make sure it was cleaned because of a new staff member and voiced her opinions that she wasn’t good so she needed to make sure we were taken care of (I thought it was nice/but it was odd for her to tell us places have been dirty in the past). We were then told the hot tub was not warm and it was at 50 degrees because they had to clean it out from the people the night before. She advised us that it should be ready in a couple of hours. Well it wasn’t, nor did it warm up the entire weekend and we couldn’t use the jets to get it working because those buttons were broken too. So hot tub out of the question. We went to take a bubble bath and... no hot water. When we told them they said they had issues the night before and tried to fix it. We didn’t shower the entire weekend. The cold/warm water lasted under a minute. Then the power went out. (Completely out of their control) so we tried to make the best of it! It was our first weekend away in a long time. We had issues with no propane in the BBQ tank, good thing I brought a crock pot up. We explained to them our issues the day we left and we were promised of a refund after messaging through email. Not a complete refund, which was fine. We NEVER received a refund. It was around Christmas time so we understood that things could be hard. But we never saw a refund or had any communication reciprocated after that. Unfortunately we will not be book this...
Read moreWe stayed in the Paradise Guest House for two nights as we visited Mt Rainier. It was clean with plenty of room for two with a living area (including a TV that had no service, but plenty of DVDs available and a fireplace), a fully equipped kitchen with a small dining table with two chairs, a separate bedroom area with cubbies, hooks, rods and shelving for all your luggage and personal items and a bathroom with a tub/shower combo with dual shower-heads. The "cabin" was attached to the back of the main house along with another "cabin" on the other side. It was very quiet and peaceful though. Carol told us there were no adjoining walls as there were storage areas between all the separate living spaces. There was no A/C in the cabin, but there was a fan. No windows were in the bedroom area, only the kitchen living area. There is also no TV in the bedroom area. Carol did have an abundance of DVDs to borrow during our stay. There was a hot tub and grill just outside our room for our use only. The location is great just a few miles outside the Mt Rainier National Park. There are a couple restaurants close by, but the kitchen is fully equipped for any meals you would like to cook. Dish soap is provided. There was also...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for our 35th wedding anniversary. I booked it well before the Covid 19 pandemic and worried that Mt. Rainier National Park would not be open upon our arrival but it was! We stayed in the Sunrise cabin because of it’s sauna and hot tub. I have no complaints what so ever. It’s private, the kitchen is perfect, there’s a bbq and fire pit (bring your own wood and only use when burn bans are not in effect). I think all of the light switches have dimmers on them and that is so romantic! They don’t have maid service, which wasn’t a problem for us. There is no dishwasher - still not a problem for us. They prefer personal checks or cash as payment because the bank charges them a fee for credit cards (understandable). Carol, the owner, gave us a tour of our cabin when we got here, she said to leave the key outside the lobby when we left and we’ve been left to ourselves ever sense, which was perfect. We were here 4 nights and spent a lot of time hiking the trails at Mt. Rainier National Park. The sauna and hot tub really came in handy after those hikes! It was...
