Fireplace Lodging at Mt. Rainier — Hotel in Graham

I travel a fair amount for business and pleasure - this was by far the worst place I stayed at. It was not the romantic place portrayed in the pictures. On check-in I was given a hard time because I arrived 8 minutes early. I was then given a brochure from the ALMOST PARADISE owner listing offenses I would be charged for . One of them was staining the sheets. Ironically, at bedtime we noticed a bloodstain on the sheet and when I emailed the company they acknowledged the stain (they knew about it) but said the sheets had been cleaned. The unit was hot. I tried to open a window however small bugs got in - We ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed The hot tub was grungy and unusable (i tried but my wife would not go in)- there was black mold present 4. There was a large burn-hole in the deck that presented a serious hazard The Venetian blind above the kitchen sink when turned to closed had numerous food remnants The bathroom vent was dirty and looked looked like it had never been cleaned There were numerous spider webs everywhere.

In general the place looked like it had been constructed as a high school project (i.e trim did line up, the door rubbed the floor, light switches that didn't do anything) there was a hole in the bathroom covered with a jagged piece of plywood.

This cabin is comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and quiet, with a wonderful private hot-tub and porch area. Easily and comfortably accommodated our family of four. We didn't use the woodstove because it was summer, but that would make the place very cozy in winter. Location extremely convenient to the Nisqually entrance to the Mt. Rainier National Park and to several nice local restaurants (big thumbs-up to the local Ukrainian place -- great pastries, pierogis and piroshkis!). Check-in and check-out was very smooth and efficient. The only recommendation I might make is that the company provide an inexpensive portable ramp for visitors with disabilities who rent your cabins -- the steps were not easy to navigate with...

Awful experience. Place was filthy. Hot tub was green and cloudy. Garbage left on the back porch. Dish washer had black mold inside of it. There was half a roll of TP left, with no replacement. Critters running around in the attic. Check in time was 4pm. We were told to wait a while before heading to the cabin as it was not ready yet. Heaters were so loud that I ended up sleeping in my truck. When I complained to the owners, they said "we will take your complaints to heart" "we wish you the best". For almost 300$ a night, I was hoping for a little more than what we got. Could have gotten better hospitality at Motel 6. I would give ZERO stars if that...
