We are traveling with our dog and there are only a few hotels in this area that accept pets. I'm assuming by the extensive online research that I did, that this hotel is the best out of the ones who take pets. The bed was firm and felt nice, the pillows look like what a ring bearer would carry your wedding ring on. Thankfully I brought my own. The carpet is very dark, so you can't really tell if it's clean. I didn't feel comfortable walking on it without socks or shoes on. We went to the lounge for dinner and were greeted by a family of five with very loud children running around. The only saving grace was that they were almost done eating when we got there. The waitstaff/bartender seemed a bit pushy as he leaned on our table until we placed a drink order. Not overly into customer service. Our iced tea and water were never refilled and I had to catch him taking someone else's order nearby to ask for a beer. The food was typical hotel food. We ordered a burger and chicken Ceasar salad. Never in my life have I had a Ceasar salad with canned mushrooms in it, but maybe this is a Nebraska thing? I won't eat here again. The AC in the room worked well and kept the room refreshingly cool. There was a mini fridge and microwave in our room which was nice as well. The front desk clerk, Neill was very friendly and professional over the phone and in person. I would say overall that it's a decent hotel. If traveling with my pets, I would probably return, only because the other options look worse. However, if I am this way again without pets, I would choose a different place to stay. Something a little newer and updated like the Fairfield or...
Read morethe staff and waitress's are good to great.. I was helped with securing another night instead of having to move to my other hotel. The two lady's are nothing but great at their job. My check in was a little slow in that the clerk was busy assisting other people, and this was on a Friday afternoon, so to be expected. The room was very clean and all the proper necessities were in place. I was glad to see they have upgraded to the bedside hookups for ubs and additional plug ins. The bath and shower areas seem to be getting smaller and smaller, in that the door swings almost hitting the toilet, and I think it did actually nudge it. Hot water seemed almost instant, and the pressure was good. One other thing is that the coffee makers in more hotel brands are going with the one cup and one serving, of which if I remember to check out what the rooms have, while making the reservation, I will bring my own little Mr. Coffee 4 cup maker. The swimming pool is nice and along side it, is the hot tub. I do recall seeing that it stayed open until 11, just not sure if that was 7 days a week. Breakfast is not free but close to it, as they give a credit with check in and I believe it was $3.99. That's pretty good considering it was a very nice buffet style breakfast, with all the good stuff. There is a work out room, but don't recall seeing a computer room..
All in all, I would recommend this to all...
Read moreWe arrived to find out the pool was closed. Even though it was still listed on the website. 2 kids who had been looking forward to swimming all day were heartbroken. The staff member advised the pool had been closed for 2 YEARS! After seeing the pool area I can tell you there is little to no effort being made to reopen it. The room we had originally booked was 2 QUEEN beds. We ended up with 2 full sized beds. When we asked to get a room with queen beds we were told there were none. When we shared our disappointment with the pool and room and asked "what CAN you do for us since this is not what we expected or paid for" the fromt desk staff meber said "I can give you a complaimt form." We tried to find a different hotel but everything was booked in town. When we turned on the AC in the room it smelled like something was burning and the SMOKE DETECTOR went off! The lamps in the room were so dim you couldn't read in bed unless a flashlight was used. The sliding glass door to the outside was almost impossible to open. We tried to request more coffee cups in the room (there was 1) and an ice bucket since we didn't have one. Called the front desk and no one answered. Bathrooms are so small you almost have to stand on the toilet to close the door. We were charged $150 and will never return. The only redeaming factor was the breakfast bar was good, for hotel food and it was close to the reason we...
