Our RV had no issues getting in or out. We unhooked our car at the Park office. Check in was ok, not the friendliest people, kind of like you were a bother. Think it was just this person. Nonetheless, Lower lake camping very nice. Nice green spaces between sites, sites level, no internet. Didn't really mind, It was actually nice to unplug. Went bike riding, down to lake, hiking on nice trails and around the park. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained, as was the park. Rangers drove by a few times, felt safe. Neighbors dog NEVER stopped barking during the day into the evening. Looked like a Labrador Retriever, not sure, barked at everyone that passed by thier site. Then this same dog, who was not leashed, went after another dog, who was on a leash, going for walk with its owner. The irresponsible owner finally was able to get thier dog off the leashed dog. This kind of freaked me out about leaving my site to go bike riding or walking. I carried mace with me in case the owner was irresponsible again, leaving the dog off the leash. Will definitely be back, really beautiful!

When you Enter Park a Beautiful Welcome and Reserveration Center! Such a Beautiful Family Park with Restroom & Shower Facilities, areas for Day Visits, Camping with Tents, for RV Camping and areas set aside for Campers with Horses! Two Beautiful Lakes for Canoe & Paddle Boats! One Lake has a Beach for Swimming during Permited Months! One Lake has an Enormous Eagle Nest, Eagles, and Gorgeous Sunsets, with nice Lakeside Benchs, for enjoying the closing of a Fabulous Day! Our Family Gathering has been Wonderdul Get together with Sisters, Brothers Moms, Aunts, Uncles Grandmom's and Grandkids & Great-grandkids! Also, Great Food Grilling, Funtastic Adventures, with Loving Family! Even the Family Dogs were Welcome in most Areas, on Leashes!

It's a really nice park. The grounds are kept, and the lot spaces are, for the most part, all good with modern electricity hookups. While each site does not have its own water hookup, there are a few taps that can be accessed by the majority of the sites. There is lots to do nearby with the large lake, dam, a beach for swimming, kayaking, hiking, and more. The only slight negative is that the bathroom facilities are showing their age a bit. But they are still quite servisable. Cell service is spotty at best, and there is no WIFI

This was our second visit to the Beechwood section. Most sites seem appropriate for trailers, but some are really great for tents. The assistants are great for local info like where to get firewood. There are hiking trails. The only reason I didn't give the 5th star is because the showers had some mildew, but hopefully they can clean them more often. Hot showers and bathroom facility was generally clean otherwise. Rangers drive by once or twice a day to make sure everyone is having a good and peaceful time. All in all, a solid place for...
