Promised Land State Park Beechwood Camping Area — Hotel in Greene Township

Our RV had no issues getting in or out. We unhooked our car at the Park office. Check in was ok, not the friendliest people, kind of like you were a bother. Think it was just this person. Nonetheless, Lower lake camping very nice. Nice green spaces between sites, sites level, no internet. Didn't really mind, It was actually nice to unplug. Went bike riding, down to lake, hiking on nice trails and around the park. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained, as was the park. Rangers drove by a few times, felt safe. Neighbors dog NEVER stopped barking during the day into the evening. Looked like a Labrador Retriever, not sure, barked at everyone that passed by thier site. Then this same dog, who was not leashed, went after another dog, who was on a leash, going for walk with its owner. The irresponsible owner finally was able to get thier dog off the leashed dog. This kind of freaked me out about leaving my site to go bike riding or walking. I carried mace with me in case the owner was irresponsible again, leaving the dog off the leash. This was our second visit to the Beechwood section. Most sites seem appropriate for trailers, but some are really great for tents. The assistants are great for local info like where to get firewood. There are hiking trails. The only reason I didn't give the 5th star is because the showers had some mildew, but hopefully they can clean them more often.
