We just spent a week at SGOA & want to thank everyone for making our vacation so wonderful. We made some new friends and the family atmosphere of the campground couldn't have been better. The aminities were very clean and the pull through sites were Level, Easy to Access & Exit. Christy and the staff of SGOA were friendly, helpful & accommodating in everyway. We saw plenty of elk along the trail as well as deer and 1 Bear. Access to the Spearhead Trail systems could not have been any easier. Roger S. Is a down to earth great guy. (the Ranger and Guide for the Spearhead trails) Roger S. worked diligently to Keep the trails cleared and maintained. Grundy VA. was a pleasant ride through the mtns and everything you need is there for the buying. The people of this small mtn. town were helpful and kind in every way. One local man even took the time to guide us through the mtns. We could not have ask for a better place to spend our much needed vacation. I would recommend SGOA to anyone searching for adventure and a relaxing atmosphere all in one place. HAPPY CAMPING AND SAFE RIDING! The Gibson's Buffalo Valley TN. P.S. A Big Shout out to our SGA neighbor, Charlie J.. Great meeting you my friend! Thanks for...
ย ย ย Read moreBeen trail riding all over WV, KY, TN and now a few trips to VA. Of all the places we've stayed, this is by far the nicest. Almost hate to review it because I'm afraid it'll be booked solid, but they deserve it. The cabins and facilities are immaculate. The staff is amazing!!! Kristi was friendly, helpful and obviously loved working there. I swear I thought she owned the place. Charles Joseph (may not be an employee, but he should be!) was one of the nicest guys we've met riding. Heck, even the local Ranger is a wonderful guy!!! Rare indeed! Look for he and his dog on the trails! We stumbled on an abandoned route and thought it was a trail. ended up leaving a unit in the woods overnight. Charlie, Rodger and others worked well after dark to make sure everyone got back safely! Even Kristi stayed until we were back. First thing in the morning, they were back to extricate the RZR. Folks like this are rare indeed!!! To recap: everything is new and shiny, immaculate facilities, great people, wifi and phone service and even the ability to get a pizza delivered within a few hundred yards of wild Elk. What more could anyone want? 5 stars is...

I highly recommend adult supervision but it's all free at a wonderful place to see the sites and the elk and deer another complaint is this is Grundy and everyone here likes to litter unfortunately I often go up there to pick up beer bottles another trash out of my Goodwill I would say that this is a great place to go however let it be known Grundy will never change it's more the people then...
