Lake Guntersville State Park Cabins by RRM — Hotel in Guntersville

My wife and I drove 2 hours & 35 minutes.... within 25 minutes of our destination I was contacted by the owner operator of the floating cabin we had rented a month in advance to tell us that the cabin's restroom was not working..and the toilet was standing full of waste..he told me he would contact me with a update of the situation as soon as possible....so me and my wife stayed in area until 4pm 3 hours mind you past check in time.... finally I call back the number that contacted me ..there is no progress on the situation I told the owner of this lovely facility that I knew of no one that would take possession of a cabin, hotel room, or any type of rental with a restroom that was not functional and the toilet standing full of💩....so me and my wife found other accommodations.....and by the way our refund wasn't the full amount we paid to reserve through Vrbo... that's right Vrbo ... Do with this info what you will...we travel alot and this was by far the worst experience...

I really wanted to love this cabin, but there were flies and gnats everywhere! One of my guest got but up pretty bad. It even had fly trap in the room. It took them 4 hours to come verify that we had an issue which wasted half of a day of our vacation This place could be really nice with a little pest control and upkeep. It is obvious there has not been any money put back into the property. Sydney was the manager was really nice and professional, but other workers were a bit rude. Very nice park lots of great features like pull through sites, full hookups, wifi, everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful our site was close to the lake. Sunset over the lake...
