Florida Home Stay Inn — Hotel in Haines City

DO NOT STAY HERE °Rooms smell like pure smoke °Roach Motel °Drug Dealers are always outside fighting or up all times of the night °Wi-Fi is only at the check in office °TV is outdated (huge&fuzzy) ° Swimming pool outside is GREEN! °Mini fridge was infested with dead and alive Roaches... at least mine was (wish I would've taken a picture to prove it) °Last but not least beds are hard °Old Spanish lady at the front desk is rude and will keep assuming you have a pet in your room if you request a do not disturb sign (because you do not want housekeeping)... That or if you have any visitors she questions how many people are in your room...

When we first checked in we paid to stay in an upgraded room, when we get to the room it was decent and noticed roaches began slowly coming out to greet us... On top of that the drain in the bathrooms are always clogged and somehow the vents are all connected because no one was checked in near us yet it smelled like smoke, we ended up staying there however the front desk requested we move to a different room because they wanted to use the sofa from our room to place at the front desk (and I just want to mention that they asked my husband if they can help him move that sofa to the clubhouse which is far) I could not believe what I was hearing and just ignored him... So we move not willing but we did, they downgrade us to a room that I don't wish upon anyone, where the mini fridge was infested with roaches dead and alive 😷 after complaining to the lady at the front desk she had the nerve to tell my husband to unplug the fridge and take it outside of our room for the guy to replace it... When my husband told me that I flipped.. almost went to the office myself to speak to them directly because this room should be placed it of order for to it smelling like smoke and being very outdated with a 1990's TV that is probably about 50 pounds... Furthermore there are other things that added on to this horrible stay like the pool that they have is green (literally with algae), Wi-Fi is only for the front desk, and drug dealers and creepers are always lurking outside of your room at all hours of the day....did I miss something?!? Do not stay here!!! Never have complained about anything until today, I usually deal with it but this...

I couldn't wait to leave a review on this place, 1st of all I dont know where to start.. Let me start by saying the lady who was running the place seems nice an all but the guy working with here looks like he would randomly kill someone for no good reason. That's why I waited to do this after I left just incase they seen it. Let me say this I should have gotten some kind of idea when the lady asked me if I would like to see the room before I pay cos yhey dont do refunds. But being so tired an needing to rest from the looks of it outside I thought I'm sure its ok an I rent on an paid. Let me sat that it was supposed to be a presidential room bcos thats all they had at the time. I go to my room and I was shocked If that was presidential I would hate to see a regular room.... Ok the smell is bad like mold. The bed looked as if maybe sheets hadn't been changed so since I was traveling, I came prepared an put mine on the bed. The little fridge in there don't work bcos the plugs are bad. Neither did the microwave the t.v. had bad fuzzy picture. Ok the bathroom the water don't get hot in the sink, like to have never figured out how to get the handle just right in the shower to get hot water.... Hot means cold cold means hot and you have to hold your mouth right to get that happy medium. There were not extras like "ALL THE OTHER MOTELS OR HOTELS I HAVE STAYED AT"anything for ice no cups no lil 1 cup coffee maker or coffee ( an this is presidential room) ( I paid extra for) the info on the website says adults only but the have family who lives there with children. Oh an lets not forget about the guy who has the little ankle bitter who barks at everything when he brings him out an outside of room smells like dog pee.this place is so shady. And by that I mean sketchy.. Let me also say that if you are looking for a place to come just to smash with your guy or girl friend its a great place to come but if you need rest an peace go somewhere else. The people above us kept us up all night having sex and that broke down bed they were on I thought was gonna come thru an land on us. It was hands down the worse place I've ever stayed this place needs to be...

UGGGH ! So I picked this because of the Florida 70.3 1/2 IM (see comment below). Was staying with a male friend. We arrived at check in & got the key to the room. First mistake= they gave us one bed. We went back to the office for a new room. Opened the door & immediately wanted to die from the smell !! Was supposed to be a NON smoking room...smelled so DISGUSTING like smoke, dead bodies, mold....you name it....just GROSS. Then there was NO WATER in the room. Went pee & couldn't flush the toilet !!! No water from the sink....shower..... Went back to the office. They were supposed to fix it while we were at dinner. Came back to room from dinner and it was NOT FIXED. (there was still pee in the toilet !!) Go back to the office. Was told a PIPE was broken & there was going to be NO WATER for the night ! And while in the office I peed in their toilet and guess what- THAT one didn't flush either !!!Tried to find a different place to stay last minute- NONE around for 30+ miles. So they gave us a key to a room the wasn't stayable but it had running water.... OK... go to that room. ...light doesn't work.(it's 8:30 at night now) Walk to back of room & turn on bathroom light. watched a bunch of roaches scurrying. Just lovely. Toilet did work in this disgusting room. So we stayed on the 2nd floor of the building across from this one & in the morning went to use this toilet while being watched by the roaches. Oh yeah, place was also "crawling" pun intended with questionable "residents". Just gross.||I WISH I had taken photos of the roaches watching me pee. Would love to have shared...
