Hotel Texas Clerk Miriam Brown/Pastors’s wife FROM HELL!
Negative online reviews about her are terrifying!
We review all kinds of injustices by condescending, abusive Hotel staff; but these type of offenses against average people by unscrupulous individuals like Miriam Brown... are particularly unsettling.
We have some of the negative reviews of Miriam Brown, proof of her unsettling behavior, her surprise surprise & shame when she realized she was caught on camera, to alert people about her inability to maintain a professional demeanor and interact positively with and her refusal to assist hotel guests.
A hotel guest sent us a review of Hotel Texas in Halletsville, Texas. The report was pretty straight forward... The Hotel Texas guest (a medical professional) was booked for 7 nights here for a work assignment. The internet was unreliable and froze/cut-off important work video meetings, an incessantly barking dog next door (it seems this a dog boarding place & not a hotel, as the dog owners leave and the dog is unattended by itself in the room) the pillows are very hard, and the rooms smell like dog urine... due to COVID Pandemic & in order to follow safety prevention guidelines this hotel guest did not want any other individuals in the room. On Sunday, Jan.23, 2022 the guest requested towels from Miriam Brown at the front desk, but Miriam Brown responded in a rage, dismissing the guest’s towel request and instead retorting with the guest not allowing the cleaning crew in the guest’s room and condescendingly waving her finger at the guest stating “This is my hotel and I run things the way I want!” (Records show the owner is actually: William L. Jones; Managing Director: Glenn Stafford; Manager Chetan Patel)
When the guest requested an explanation and apology for the disrespectful outburst from Miriam Brown, advising her she is a Nurse, Miriam Brown became more unhinged & frustrated & said...I don’t care if you’re a Nurse or any other profession, you have five minutes to leave your room or I am calling the police!
Miriam Brown, from Panama City, Panama, wife of Pastor Ronald Anthony Brown went from condescension to outright provocation... and this is not her first offense, as per other reviews she has squared off against other Hotel Texas lady guests. MORE VICTIMS
A quick search online revealed a list of horror stories against Miriam Brown by former guests of this place. Condescending & disrespectful service, and in some cases, threatening guests by Miriam Brown. It's hard to believe Miriam Brown is still employed here and allowed to treat and be uncivil with hotel guests in these manners. She needs professional help in dealing & socializing with people.
The problem is most of the complaints are dismissed by hotel management after Miriam Brown changes the narrative to make herself the victim and the guest the culprit regardless of how much injustice a guest may have suffered at Miriam Brown’s expense.

Read moreCheck in/out process was a little slow but staff was nice. When booking from the Hotel Texas website it takes you to an OTA (online travel agency … Expedia etc..) Hotel is pet friendly but only a limited number of rooms are pet friendly. Also when booking with the OTA it doesn’t show the pet option. Please note that the front desk stated it should say on all of the OTA’s that you have to call if you have a pet(s) to make sure a room will be available & for the fees (based on # of pets & weight). The pet room we were in was not maintained or cleaned well. We inquired if rooms were checked to see if everything is in working condition & they stated no. Linens were dirty, hair dryer broken, TP holder about to come out of wall, dead bugs in the room (dead are better than live & the room is right next to exit so I will give a lil grace on this), linens were dirty & TV was initially not working. We were able to get the tv resolved by calling the front desk on our cell & I requested new linens from the housekeeper in the hall. She offered to change the sheets but due to our pets it was easier for me to change them. Common area is quite warm at 78 & room was warm upon entry but quickly cooled by adjusting thermostat. Breakfast was hot & different selection each day & the best hotel instant eggs I have eaten not watery or chalky tasting. Only thing missing for breakfast was fresh fruit & yougart. Hotel was quiet and did not have any disturbances common area was nice with the Texas themes. Pet rooms are not that nice but it worked for us even with the issues, would really have liked to see the non pet rooms for a true comparison. Tte morning of check out we had a male housekeeper come a little before 10am to clean our room and that we were scheduled to leave that day. Check out is at 11am & we were packing up are car already so not sure why he asked but was a...
Read moreIt’s a very good hotel. I wish it was less expensive lol. But I say that a lot these days as I’ve watched hotel prices escalate. But I had an enjoyable stay here. The exterior is done in central Texas limestone and has a wonderful Texas feel to it as does the lobby. The rooms are great and follow a Holiday Inn Express type format, making me wonder if maybe, the original designers had that in mind. So the layout of the room is one that you’ll be very familiar with. Everything works. In the bathroom, they’ve even thought out adding a bath mat to protect against slipping, something even some Holiday Inns don’t do. You know the ones. Where you have to put a towel down in the bathtub to protect yourself from slipping on the bathtub surface. But not here. The pillows are comfy such that I asked them where to buy them, but the bed is actually quite firm, which might be a dealbreaker for some but I found it to be just fine. The swimming pool is larger than most, and great. Especially if you are traveling with kids. Outside, they have rocking chairs and porch swings for you to sit in and enjoy the evening air. The breakfast is quite good and they even have one of those waffle makers that makes waffles in the shape of Texas. I would stay here again. Recommended. Right down the road or a Brookeshire brothers. Grocery store and a Walmart. A little bit further down is a Dairy Queen. A little bit further down is the center of Halletsville so it’s a pretty darn good...
