Please do not stay at this hotel!!!! I am 53 years old and have never written a review until now. My husband made a reservation for my 89 year old father and me. We were literally "kicked out" and asked to leave because the reservations were in my husband's name. I provided the email confirmation for the room and several pieces of identification with my husband's and my names. I even had my husband on speaker phone to confirm. He also called twice and was hung up on both times. For one hour I asked Brendon (guy at the desk) to help me have the name transferred over to my name. He refused. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there was no manager on site. I then asked to please call the manager to see if they could assist in the situation and again was told no. The entire time I was there I was only told that the room was non-transferable. Brendon could say nothing else to me when I asked for help. All he would say for the entire hour was "the room is non-transferable". My husband was able to speak with customer service twice and was told the room had been transferred into my name. When I asked Brendon to check, each time I was told no, the room had not been transferred. He never asked my name. Which I thought was unusual. Finally, a lady showed up, not the manager, and asked did I need help. I said I am trying to get into my room that my husband reserved for me. I again tried to explain the situation and show the confirmation. She too said the room is non-transferrable and said you have two options: transfer the room into your name or get another room. I said I was not getting another room and then asked could I step aside and try and figure out what I was going to do. She said yes. Then all of a sudden, she said, "you have 30 minutes to figure out what you need to do". I said excuse me. She then said, "you just need to leave!" I was absolutely shocked at was I was hearing and said excuse me, and she loudly said, "you need to leave." So my 89 year father and I left. My husband has tried for two days to get the problem resolved and the money charged to my card back only to be told by the Manager Joey that he could not help us. Nothing was done wrong on his...
Read moreWorst experience checking in. The lady at the front desk had no clue what she was doing. Told me to get the room cheaper to book through choice app so I did. Before booking I asked if I book this double queen will it be down stairs. And she said yes. Reservation comes through and she said I booked second floor. On the choice app you do not have a choice to choose what floor you are on. She told me she can not cancel it. And that I would be stuck on second floor. After I asked to speak to someone that can help me higher up then she was she comes back with I can upgrade your room. Okay. So I agree. Then I go to give her my debit card and she tells me my bank will charge a 100.00 fee. Not the hotel but my bank. Okay my bank does not do this. Next she tells me my card is declined. So I call my bank to see why it was declined they told me they show no charges trying to come through and that nothing was declined and that my cars is active and open. So at this point I'm just mad and said I really need someone else out here to figure out a way to just cancel this room because I don't even want to stay here anymore. Surprisingly she can now cancel room and made sure to tell me I will not be charged for he room that supposedly cant be canceled. Worst check in process ever.
Update After the response from this hotel I still completely stand by this hotel being the worst ever.
The front desk lady told me what room to book on my choice app to make it first floor and then after it was booked automatically said oh you booked second floor.
Your system denied the card. Should probably look into that. I ended up staying at the hotel down the street where my debit card worked perfectly. They also had 10x better customer service. I was thankful for the days Inn being my hero for the night while this place was a joke! I would definitely not spend a dime at...
Read moreOh, where do i start !!.. So the first night was not too bad, being we only came in and went to bed ..The second day we woke up to get ready for work and went out front to smoke all the way at the other end of the building opposite end from my room because the back door does not have a card reader so if you exit that door you will have to walk all the way around the building to get back in .. I am a smoker, so for me, that's a slight inconvenience being as it's 29 degrees out that morning .. the front desk clerk comes outside to tell me I can't smoke within 50 of the building .. OK, I said and proceeded to walk a little further away from the building.. I must have met the minimum required footage at that point because he went back inside ... I finish my smoke and go get ready for work .. that afternoon when we got of work we come in and dropped our things and walked out the back door to smoke thinking it would be a better place to smoke since you can't drive behind the building and you can't get back in the building from there it seemed like a good place but no it was not the evening lady clerk came out and said you can't smoke withing 50ft of the building and I spoke up at that point and said this is ridiculous!..she then responded with well I'm sorry .. and I said I'm sorry too.. and within 10 mins. My boss calls me and says, "Pack out. We have been evicted!!" The front desk clerk had called him and said,"One of your employees has been warned twice now. You have 10 mins to get out!!".. In my opinion they overreacted a bit much but as for my experience I'm giving 2 stars only because the rooms were clean..I travel for work 300 days/yr and we rent 2-3 rooms a week .. I will have to say this has been one of the worst hotel customer service I have ever experienced!!.. staff is rude and...
