A clean, competent, no-frills motel. It’s in the “better than camping” tier of motels. Don’t expect shampoo (or even a bathroom counter) , a room key, or cleaning during your stay. My room was clean. I got a mini-fridge, microwave, desk, TV, A/C, double bed, and nightstand. My room neighbor said he didn’t have a nightstand. Bring your own extension cord if you want your phone charging and within reach of the bed. The bed had crinkly plastic over the mattress but it’s still comfortable. A good small-town restaurant is next door.
No bugs this year. Everything with the hotel went...
Read moreThis place is scary. For starters, ALL of the codes to get in the door are the same 09 and your room number. That is extremely unsafe. I'm pretty low maintenance and I have stayed at lots of motels before but there was no way that I was staying at this place. I heard from the locals that it was owned by a woman who lives in Colorado. It's sad to me that a woman would make all of the rooms accessible to anyone walking by with the door codes. Good luck if...
Read moreClean, friendly, great value. With an older, inexpensive motel, you never know what you’re going to get, but I was very happy with the Harper motel. They got all the important things right. My rooms was clean, the A/C unit was pretty new and worked well, the plumbing all worked well. Sure, there was some cosmetic damage and outdated furnishings, but that’s why they’re not charging $100+/night. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Would definitely...
