Silver Bell Motel — Hotel in Hartford

I have lived in Hartford for about 25 years now, this motel has its share of good things that being cheap rooms, simple and easy if your just looking for a place for a night at a low cost. The downside is the place really needs a renovation on the outside as well as the rooms which are very outdated. They have not changed at all since I first moved here. Hartford had a tornado back around 2009 or so which the south end of the motel was damaged and still has not been completely fixed. They tore the rooms down that were on that side, yet the concrete foundation still sits making it look very dumpy like. They have many people that live here month to month that have things all outside the rooms making it look very tacky if you ask me but that's my opinion. It seems to be fairly clean on the inside still just very outdated and still...

Under new owner and he tries very hard to make sure you're happy with your room. He only had one room available but the TV wasn't working. I told him I was ok with that because the wifi was awesome. He followed me to my room to make sure I was happy with it. The floor was brand new, heat and ac worked great. A few minutes later he came to my room to let me know a room came available with a working TV. Super comfortable...

We decided to ignore all the bad reviews and paid the price. We got into our room and its freezing inside, no heat on, bad musty smell. The door to the room was also poorly sealed, then found out there's no toilet paper in the bathroom. When we went to check out, the woman seemed very apathetic. I wouldn't return or recommend this...
