Hilo Vacation Rental — Hotel in Hawaii

So the entire reason for selecting this particular room was for the custom spa tub which has tiles broken and pitched up on the literal seat area of one of the seats. Unless you enjoy broken tiles wedged in your bum, that's a no for us, it also means the tiles are no longer sealed therefore cannot be properly sanitized. Ew. See pics.

The house is nicely furnished, great layout, and tidy looking, but desperately needs a deep cleaning. The stairs railing alone is evident of this but the edges of the carpet have debris, so just a bare minimal type of cleaning is happening. The house was seemingly empty during our stay, so no real reason for things not being cleaned or maintained.

There's cameras everywhere not just outside but inside too. I don't recall that being disclosed. Not that we mind but others might and accuracy in listing is important. Didn't use the kitchen much other than the fridge and sink. The smaller sink has the disposal switch low on the side of the counter right where young hands could mess with it. So heads up for those with kids. While it was quiet and safe, it definitely wasn't worth the price and made me regret cancelling our original airbnb because I thought this would be a great surprise upgrade for my partner's birthday. Tremendous space & person! I arrived late (after 8pm) as a surprise for my Family Reunion & so after dinner. The caretaker met me kindly after I got into the door (clear & simple instructions were given) to help me to get my bearings, carry my 2 carryons to my room & lead me to my room. He also provided a cold bottle of water, MUCH appreciated! I found the place to be very clean, spacious & well-organized with simple instructions in the bathroom, kitchen & shared spaces. I appreciate the simplicity & cleanliness, while still giving me my space! The place seems organized well and looks tidy, but our room smell so bad and the carpet is unbelievably filthy. I even put my mask on while I was sleeping. The room has a small bed for 2 adults and NO private bathroom. Next day we moved to another Hotel, where is about 3 miles away from this place, which is just about to the same price with this Hilo vacation place, has beautiful gardens and big size of swimming pool, and the room has 2 beds and private bathroom, and  FRESH smell and so modern and upgraded.
