Koili Point has been the most incredible stay experience we've had in Hawaii. I have to be careful not to ramble as I could talk about this place for hours. But let's start with the people part; the owner, Len, was incredible to work with, and he made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the stay. Maggie and Lyman, who manage the estate, gave us a very warm and in-person welcome, including a tour of the grounds and recommendations for local beaches, hikes, and fresh fish. The house is very spacious with high ceilings, classy decorations, and furnished with extremely comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen had everything we could ever need, and the hosts left us with a welcome basket of fruit, wine, chocolate, crackers, coffee, and honey harvested from the grounds. The grounds are stunning. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is like walking around your own private botanical gardens. Take Lyman or Maggie up on their offer for a tour, and you'll be treated to try out the many (probably over a dozen) different fruits and spices they grow there that are all available for guests to pick if ripe. We would make pink lemonade from pink variegated lemons we hand-picked. Our 11yo twins roamed the orchards daily, eating finger limes and chasing geckos. OK, last part, and it was also my favorite activity of the entire vacation. Koili Point vacation homes are named after the small cape jutting into the ocean just over the end bluff of the property. There is access to the cape down the very steep ravine via rope & ladders, probably ~250' or so decline. It reminded me of the rope comp courses we did as kids in Boy Scouts. If you are physically able and you want a small adventure to see a breathtaking shoreline, very carefully make your way down to the cape. Not gonna lie, it's dangerous, but it is authentic Hawaii, and I loved it so much. Ramble fail, sorry, but our family made so many memories here, and I know you will too.

This rental was incredible. The property was amazing, with a tropical orchard and gardens, sweeping ocean views beyond a sparkling pool and friendly sheep. Every detail was mindfully tended to: a spotlessly clean home, beautiful handcrafted wood furnishings, tons of bath and beach towels, a fully stocked kitchen with all the dishes, pans, and minor appliances you could need. This home faces a gorgeous copse of trees and palms that line the oceanfront. The spacious house was optimally designed to maximize your enjoyment of the ocean with the lanai, kitchen, dining room, living room and primary bedroom all facing this gorgeous view. On site were two lovely people: Jackie and Lyman who were there maintaining the property, talking story and sharing the bounty of the garden- fresh pineapple, papaya, macadamia nuts, green onions, beans, tomatoes and so much more. We loved the sustainability efforts that the owners have taken, the house, pool and hot tub, even the air conditioning, were solar powered! Everything from the smart toilets, the laundry and dish detergents, the hand soaps and the shower amenities were thoughtfully chosen to be eco friendly. This is our 17th trip to the islands and our 5th time to Hawaii Island, so we have stayed in our fair share of rentals. This house was by far the most comfortable, well appointed one we have had the pleasure to enjoy. They go the extra mile to show their guests true Island Style and Aloha. Mahalo Len, Jackie and Lyman! A hui hou!

An Unforgettable Stay in a Stunning Location!

Our family had the most incredible stay at this beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, making our stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

The house itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque location that provided us with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Whether we were relaxing on the deck or exploring the surrounding area, we were constantly in awe of the natural beauty around us.

Every detail in the home was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy interiors to the well-stocked kitchen. We could not have asked for a better place to create lasting memories with our family.

If you’re looking for a serene getaway where hospitality and comfort are top priorities, this is the place to be. We can’t recommend it...
