Routt County Fairgrounds RV Park — Hotel in Hayden

Don't take children here during the demolition derby UNLESS YOU BOUGHT A TICKET ONLINE!!! They were sold out when we arrived and had traveled to partake in all the festivities. If you aren't lucky enough to get a ticket, and you are standing anywhere where your three year old might be able to see the derby from your shoulders, the police chief will promptly treat you like a freeloader and explain to your three year old that if you weren't such a failure, he'd actually let you watch. When asked if he would please just let us pay to stand in this spot with a terrible view, he chuckled and said "sounds like something you need to take up with the fair board." Simply stand still in the grass too long, the police chief will come move you along....

This is the worst fairground rv park I have stayed at! I was supposed to be there 5 nights and I left after the first even though they don’t give refunds. The water pressure was bad and the water had a brown tinge to it. They charged for showers, and there was no other amenities. Also when I booked it the website said my rv spot had partial shade. That was just a flat out lie. There was no shade at all. There was no dumpster that the residents were allowed to use either. If you had the option I would pass right by this rv park and go to one that is actually...

If you know what to expect than this place gets the job done!!!

There is ZERO WiFi available! There is ZERO staff available. There is ZERO amenities available! There is ZERO security-which can be unnerving at night if you’re traveling alone!

But they have full hookups and level concrete pads about 30 minutes from Steamboat Springs!
