Booked their large suite 6 months ago because we were in town for a wedding. We needed the space because we have 7 kids. Things started ok. Had to get a new bed sheet for pullout sofa because there were crumbs on it and the air conditioner didn't work in the one room. The next morning I took the kids to the park so my wife could give the baby a nap. Suddenly 2 workers barge into the room and said there was water dripping in the room below and they had to check. They knew the "Do not dusturb" sign was out but couldn't get ahold of us on the number they had. That was our home number. They could have called our room or done the old fashioned knock on the door. That night is when it got bad, at 9 o'clock music began blaring from the adjacent restaurant. Luckily the 2 youngest were already asleep. However, after a 10 minute break at 10 the music came back super loud waking everyone up. We spent a half an hour moving the youngest kids to the farthest end of the suite to where it was the quietest. I called the office and they informed me that the restaurant is a separate entity and there is nothing they could do. I was told that there was a sign posted that said there would be a band from 9 to midnight. We didn't see the sign and even if we had then what, pack up and find another hotel? I was told that I would get a refund because of our trouble, she said to come to the office in the morning. The music continued until 1215 AM. I went to the office at 830 the next morning, no one was there. I went back up and called and the lady answered and said she wouldn't be there until 9. She said she stopped in last night and said the music wasn't even that loud. Well had she barged in a second time she could have heard that it was extremely loud. She told me when she got in she would refund me 10%. I said that wasn't very much and she said that the owner said that's all they could do. Well here we are a week later and we have received no refund. If you want a better experience, stay up the road a little ways at the Huntingdon Motor Inn, that's what my parents and siblings did and they had no complaints. A long drive home with tired...
Read moreThis place was terrible. The rooms were musty and we had to be moved to a new one because the ac didn't work, but the new one didn't really work either. Whatever shampoo they had ruined my hair for a couple days. They had the flattest pillows I've ever seen in my life. The Wi-Fi doesn't work, they use repeaters through out the hotel off of the original and it doesn't work. You can connect in the office though, so if you have a room right by it you may get Wi-Fi. She walked me to the office and connected my phone like look it works. So if you don't use Verizon and visit here prepare to have no service for anything, and you can't count on the Wi-Fi. The key cards erase themselves near devices like a cell phone, or a debit card. Which they didn't tell us until after we all erased our keys to our rooms, while you know, keeping them safe in our wallets. All these positive reviews are about the bar and restraunt, not an actual stay. Which they use for bands and everything. So have fun sleeping before 2am. Our new room didn't have a microwave, when our original one did. Our parents room's fridge didn't work. Get back to the room after 6pm? Need more towels? Too bad better ask before they leave. Mind you one towel could maybe work for a 3 year old. Once the office closes nobody is there, but you, your non working room keys, and whoever else is staying...
Read moreIn reading the reviews of this motel I’m rather perplexed... I just stayed here for two nights and the place is just not very nice at all. First, I must say that it’s rare that I give a three but this location just deserves no more. In fact I was really thinking a two but I wanted to be as fair as possible. ||When calling to make the reservation I was told that it was new owners and that it had been totally renovated. So much so that it was like a new motel. The price was $100/night with tax which, if it would have been what I was told, this would have been the right price. ||It looked like their total renovation was a coat of paint and new bedding. All the bathroom fixtures were old, the towels had seen better days, the caulking around the sink had mold buildup, etc....||All this being said, this place should have been $60/night at most. They were very busy due to many contractors that were staying there while working in the area. I think they’ll find that once these guys are gone they will either have to cut their prices by a good 40% or they’ll have to close due to lack of business. ||What they do have going for them is that they are the only...
