There are so many things I can say here that are great but ONE just rubs me wrong. I will start with the good Place is clean and sites are spacious with lots of amenities. We booked our sites in February for 4 nights over the 4th of July through the 6th. . I checked back often for cancelations that would make it possible for us to get a beach front site. I was very kind and also asked in an email form. When I checked in I asked about cancelations and I was willing to move even for one night if possible to get at least one night beach front, where you could also have a campfire. I was told emphatically they were full and no beach sites opened up. We are currently on our last night here and two sites across from us (beach front) set up. They tell us that both of these sites were booked two days ago... while I am asking for any cancelations even for one night??? Let's be clear here, once your reservation is booked they are not willing to give you the opportunity to move to an opening. We will never be back to Alaska unfortunately (now that I know this campgrounds game) I will recommend people to just go to the end of the spit and camp there, you have a better view of the mountains there and not looking at these huge vehicles in front of you.. absolutely NOTHING has opened up unless you are booking right now...is the way this place works. Very...

I would not recommend Heritage RV Park to anyone towing a camper.
When we checked in, they assigned our site at that moment — not ahead of time — so there was no way to plan how to approach or position the camper. The site they gave us required backing in, but the hookups and sewer were on the wrong side of our trailer. We were told to park as close to the hookups as possible. It was extremely difficult to back in at that angle — it took me nearly 10 tries just to get into position.
Once we finally got in, our neighbor returned and complained we were too close to their rig. Then, instead of supporting us, the manager came and made us move. It was frustrating, exhausting, and humiliating — especially after we had already struggled to get into a poorly planned space, doing exactly what staff told us to do.
I left feeling vulnerable, disrespected, and blamed for a situation that was entirely caused by the park’s disorganized check-in process and poor layout. There was no accountability from the staff or management.
Absolutely would not stay here again. If you’re hauling a trailer or expect even basic customer service,...
Read moreVery nice RV park on the water at Homer Spit. ||We stayed 5 nights with a large RV spot with hookup's on the edge of the beach. The views are fantastic. ||After seeing the other RV options in Homer, Heritage is clearly the best. You are not packed in and have room between units. They even provided a table. There is not much noise from the main road. It might be louder in the cheaper spots along the road though. The traffic dies way down at night. ||You are in walking distance to a fishing hole that had some large fish.||They warn you that the wi-fi is slow and not adequate for streaming. This is true, but we had no issues checking email, and light browsing. ||Nice showers and Laundry room with friendly attendances. They even have two PC's and a printer. Very convent for buying fishing licenses, booking tours, Airport checkin's, etc. ||Besides a little gift shop they have a coffee/smoothie counter that was great for kids treats and this Grandpa's 'morning pick-me-up'. There is a large indoor eating area with several games for use. ||The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We had to change a arrival date and they were very...
