A good campground if you have kids. They were in the pool unsupervised and flying around on golf carts at times. Kids in hot tub in rafts. No staff around too correct those issues. Pool was dirty from Friday to Monday. The pool company showed up on Monday and cleaned it. The hot tub worked on Friday, but was broke (no heat) on Saturday and Sunday. It was fixed Monday afternoon. Great location. The bathrooms were newly remodeled. The grounds were clean. There are a lot of permanent trailers there. Some are awesome. I probably would go back for the location and being a Thousand Trail member.

We stayed there for 4 nights over Presidents’ Day weekend. The campground was very clean and the people were very friendly and accommodating. It’s a beautiful place. We enjoyed walking around the campground with the dog at night. Also close to the beach that just opened back up. Great place for a sunset. The no see ums near the river ate us alive the first night but we used bug spray the rest of the nights with no issue. Also note the bathrooms and clubhouse are out of commission for the foreseeable future. Recommend this place overall though.

We've spent 2 weeks here. Hurricane storm surge covered this place with 5 feet of water back in August. Our lot flooded 2 times in 24 hours so we moved up front to be high and dry. Staff are working with what they have. No amenities open except pool & hot tub. Which may or may not be working. Been cold so we didn't use anything in the park. Great location but high tides and stormy winds flood alot here.

We received notification within 10 days of booked time that this property has existing damage from the hurricane of 13 months ago. While we appreciate the communication, it is difficult to find another location with such notice. Here are is an update on amenities as emailed to us:

Amenities currently available: All sites have 30/50 amp electric, water and sewer hook-up, hot tub, pool, pontoon boats/kayak rental, internet (through 3rd party), and cable for the most part (currently still being upgraded (not storm related, scheduled project).

Amenities that are not available: 110 electric, bathrooms, showers, laundry, club house, and main office (we are working out of portable across from the office). Corporate has deemed our docks to be unsafe due to structural damage from the flooding, so we are asking that guests not get on them at this time. They are scheduled to be repaired within the next few months; no date has been given to us yet.

We are working diligently to get the park back up to full speed, but...

It's a shame this has turned into more of a permanent RV Park than a Vacation type RV Resort. They now have lot's of huge RV Car Port Type dwellings all throughout the park with what looks like people are living in. Most of them are pretty well kept, but a few are really junky looking. This wouldn't be too bad if they had them all in a certain area and another area for transients. But these big RV carports are spread all throughout the park. The pool and front activities area has more of a resort feel to it and there is river access for boats and kayaks, etc. The Main office, bathhouses and activities buildings were all closed and being remodeled after last year's hurricane. They could also do some sprucing up to the common areas and transient sites to give it more of a Resort feel. The location is great and everyone was really friendly. Just have to get passed feeling like an outsider pulling into a...
