We really enjoyed our stay here! Boat launch, swimming pool, wildlife, and great neighbors. Manager did everything he could to keep this place going and enjoyable through the COVID-19 challenges and we appreciate all of the efforts! Fishing, kayaking, boating, swimming, biking, music, ice cream, and more. Place gets busy busy on the weekends and you can expect some festivities during their peak hours. We were surrounded by good people the whole time we were there (7 months) and hope to get to visit again....if work permits. It’s on the river between Kings Bay and the Grass Flats in the Gulf and literally right down the road from Fort Island Trail Park and Beach. We had a few gators around the whole time and got to see hundreds of manatees among many other super cool Florida animals. We caught 19 different species of fish and loved the local beaches and parks surrounding this resort.

We really had fun staying at this campground. There are a lot of seasonal folks that were so welcoming. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There are So many amenities such as a pool, hot tub, pickle bar court, volleyball, etc. Some of the sites aren’t that deep, but width wise we had plenty of room. There is a pond, a lake and then a river that runs behind it. The no-see-ums were a pain but that’s not the campgrounds fault. The one drawback was wi-fi. You had to pay for it from a third party (I didn’t) and it was not good wi-fi. They did have cable though. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.

Overbooked, we payed $92.00 for one night stay. So we at least expected some room to place our grille outside. Site 148. Shouldn't be a site at all. Looks more like a parking spot for additional vehicle from next site. Our neighbors site next to us had someone parked boat and truck in front of their rig. That's how crowded it was here. Office closes at 5 pm. After that You may expext "wild west" here lol. Security is riding his golf cart around completely ignoring small children racing golf carts around. I advise everyone to look at the site before booking. We never had such of bad experience while camping.

We stayed at Crystal Isles from June 9th to June 16th. We rented 3 cabins, cabin 1, 2 and 3. My husband and I frequently visit this park several times a year with our 3 small children and 2 small dogs and it has always been a good experience. We love the pool, the playground, the size of the park is fun for walks, bike riding and golf cart rides and its close to fort island beach! However, this experience was an experience from hell and I would NEVER recommend this RV park to anyone who is renting a cabin from them. It was nothing but problems from start to finish. The air conditioners in all 3 cabins messed up frequently. With an infant that was a horrible experience. The propane was on in my sisters cabin upon arrival and she also has an infant and 2 other children. My sisters cabin was not cleaned, there was food on plates, dirt all over the floor and overall the cabin was left disgusting and unclean. So she ended up staying in the first cabin with our parents on and off through the trip due to AC issues, propane leaking from the stove and finally it was infested with carpenter ants!!!!! They came in and sprayed the ants leaving hundreds of dead carpenter ants scattered through the cabin and loft. My cabin did not have hot water the first day and I ended up having to bathe my children in my parents cabin. This issue was a simple fix but it just added to the many things that caused our trip to be miserable! The water pressure in the shower of my cabin was also terrible! maintenance had to come to cabin 1 because the AC was leaking water onto the floor in the kitchen and down the back of the television. And the best part of the trip..... we lost all Power to all 3 cabins for an entire day starting at 4 am and power finally being restored at 5:30 pm. The electrician had to come out and re-dig electrical lines and redo the power to the rentals. He stated the camp ground should have taken care of the electrical problem already but chose not to. I will never come to this park again. It was a horrible experience. The office manager is rude and she had an “I do not care” attitude about the experience we had at this park. When I walked to the office to complain prior to departure she ignored me standing directly in front of her with all 3 of my children. When I finally decided to just walk out the door she ran out and yelled across the parking lot “ma'am, did you need to talk to me”. My response was “I can just write it on the review”. It was very frustrating that she clearly saw me standing there and did not address me at all!!! In the end we got 3 days off my sisters cabin because she had to sleep in cabin 1 for 3 days due to the issues she had. We also got a 20% discount. The manager could have cared less about the well being of my children or pets!!! I will not be back to this camp ground and I would never recommend this place to anyone ever again. The only reason we came here was because we have enjoyed this ground before. But we will never again! If you ignore my recommendation and choose to rent a cabin from here, steer clear of Cabin 3! Its infested with carpenter ants and it does not get cool. However, the maintenance man, Ryan, was incredible!!! Along with the rest of the staff aside from the office staff and office manager! The lady that organizes events on the ground was also very sweet and wonderful to...

I had high hopes for this site after reading the great reviews. But really just felt like our experience was just okay for the few days we spent. We made our reservation the day before arriving so it was a bit last minute, but when we showed up to the campsite it was closed for the day because of Thanksgiving and our check in packet wasn't there. It was really nerve racking not having any idea what to do or where to go after drive 10 hours to get there with our 4 and 2 year old with us.. thankfully after about 15 minutes of panicking a site guy came up on a golf cart to help, put us in a site.. we thanked him and drove to the site he said which had someone there already. Which was super frustrating after.thr.long drive with cranky toddlers, and having to navigate through the tight streets with the camper in tow. We then had to drive to the front entrance and hunt the guy down again which took a while to find him he then escorted us to a random empty site. We paid for a premium spot but was put in a standard spot.

Other mentions: pros: nice pool, nice playground and sport courts, nice bathrooms and showers, great clubhouse, close to three sisters preserve,

Cons: devil bugs (no-see-ums) are absolutely out of control and they need to spray, whole family left eaten alive, site wasn't level, sites are on top of each other, they have a lot of rules about maintence and keeping your site pretty, but are definitely not upholding those standards, some sites looked like a hoarders episode. No real lake access unless you were on a lake front campsite. All of the sites are so close together and there is no spot that I could find that would be considered not rude to go and view the lake in the middle. When I went to check in on our second day since we couldn't the first.. I explained what happened and the lady was like oh well you booked yesterday that's why.. no sorry that happened and caused you stress or anything of the sort like it was my fault some how and not the system. I also asked about firewood and they said they were running low, I bought the last 2 bags from them and asked where I could get more locally and they had no advice. I also paid for a premium and only got a standard site which was annoying. Garbage dump area is in front near the playground and smelled so gross, we couldn't play for that long.

Liked the area for the manatee swimming, but there is nothing else in the area to do. It was a good stopping point, but would never be a final destination vacation...

Ok, I’m usually the super nice and love everyone type. But after Rving since I was 6 years old with my parents, and now for myself since 1994, this campground is the worst I’ve ever been too.

First, it took us over 45 minutes of gut wrenching navigation to get to our site (I drove a ladder truck through NYC, as a firefighter and am pretty good with driving) , and needed a degree in driving engineering to figure out how to back in to our site. As there were so many cars and boats, and huge live oaks not properly trimmed, on both sides of the road. Thank god, we had very kind neighbors whom moved their cars and trailers for us.

Again, there were nothing but boats, trailers, trucks, and more boats parked everywhere ( each site was a parking lot).

The roads were impassable at different points as boats with their trucks were parked on both sides of the road that impeded passing through. We had to back up twice to try another route, in which we sustained a tear in our roof because of this, and the horrible tree maintenance.

We actually had two other campers give us a tree saw, and stated they had to trim them selves into their site.

They fit you in right on top of one another. Our site has a large 20x15 white storage tent that is 2” from our back window. On our right, the poor neighbors are about 2’ from our bump out.

Very crowded! Very noisy, and very tight. This is sadly no resort. It’s main purpose is full timers, and really needs to better manage parking as they are seconds from a fire 🔥 disaster, as no equipment while I was here would be able to reach the scene.

They need to better maintain and clear trees, and some of the sites should be consolidated into one, or properly flagged for unit sizes.

I hope someone in corporate takes a serious look at this, how their sites are set up, and how tight they are.

Again, I am very qualified to say, this current set up, and the way they allow so many vehicles and boats is beyond dangerous. It’s having two Rvs per site basically, with the boat parking half in the road and half spanning two sites.

Very...
