Small county campground located in Skamania county Washington about 20 minutes east of Bonneville dam. The park has a small swimming beach on the Columbia river as well as three baseball fields. Sites are on the smaller side but we were still able to put three tents up and had parking for a full size truck and mid size SUV. Showers didn't cost anything but you need a code to get in. They even have a tankless water heater so you don't run out of hot water. They did have a tendency to lose pressure, I believe because of people flushing toilets in the adjacent bathrooms. Trains did pass by at all times of day and night with their horns going, but that never bothered me or anyone in our camp party. Ill definitely be back and would recommend it to others.

We just happened upon this hidden gem! It's right along the river which offers activities such as swimming, boating, picnicking and camping. We love the sound of the train that goes by from time to time. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. The campsites are spacious so you are not right on top of your neighbor. The view of the river is good because there are no campsites along the river side of the campground. The hosts are working hard to restore it to its original charm and we think they are doing a wonderful job. We plan on returning soon! Also, there is small grocery store about 3 blocks away if you forget or need anything.

The camp directors we had were incredible! Beautiful, spacious site. There were trash cans and porta-potties near each camp site. In a seperate area there were toilets and water. There was also several patches that lead down to the water, where you could relax and maybe have a picnic.

Finally! A campground that's actually well managed! We'd all but given up on campgrounds, we've seen too much boozing, fighting, noisey people, dogs barking, people actually being arrested and hauled off to jail!

Not here! Brian, the camp host, actually takes care of this campground, goes around with leaf rake in hand, raking each campsite, making it ready for the next camper. Right away, on arrival, I noticed our site had been raked, a small pile of fire starter, neatly placed in the fire ring!

The porta potties are clean, actually stocked with TP and sanitizer!

Sadly, Brian tells us they're moving on when the campground closes for the season. That's a shame.

More campgrounds need...
