Wind Mountain RV Park and Lodge — Hotel in Hood River

I tried to call and asked if they had any vacancies in 2 weeks. First of all the lady on the phone said she was not at her desk so didnt know what was reserved or not. I asked who i can talk to to find out and she asked me how i found out about this place. I told her i found it online and was very interested. She then proceded to ask how many people and whether they were male or female, which i replied 2 adult males and 1 female. This is so Weird, i thought to myself. The next thing she said blew my mind. " this is a mom and pop place do you know that?" Yes i do, i replied. Then she told me that they only have 1 cabin/apt. Open right now and i should go look elsewhere. This call lasted no longer then 3 mins and i was rudely shuned away. DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ARE ONE OF THEIR REGULAR CUSTOMERS, YOU AND NEITHER AM I...

We had so many issues here at this park, first it was a battle of two owners claiming to be the actual owners and constantly banging on our RV door trying to shove court documents at us. After finding out we were scammed the actual “owners” said they would work with us about payment. The main thing that really got us is the fact that EVERY SINGLE TIME we stepped outside of the RV we were being harassed by the owners coming up to us asking questions and trying to shove more paperwork in our faces. Needless to say we are happy to be leaving, if you want to feel like you live in or are visiting a ghetto trailer park, I suggest staying here at Wind Mountain RV park. We have a great time staying at wind river! Astrid and her crew and made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived! Everyone on the site is super friendly and willing to help! The location of wind river is perfect, it was easy to get to many different locations on the gorge. The beach across the street is stunning (we went every day we were there!) and the walk to get there is nice and relaxing.

The apartment was clean and well furnished. We loved just sitting out on the huge front porch and enjoying the scenery and weather. We will definitely be back!
