We stayed for a night and camped in our car. 5 star for camp managers. We did not have cash to pay, only card. The place does not accept cards. Camp managers were polite enough to get cash for me by driving 2miles and made the payment. I trusted them with my debit card and they did not disappoint. I can not remember his name but it makes me think that humanity is alive.

Really beautiful campground. Went for the first time this summer and can't wait to go back again next year. It was a bit of a drive from Eugene but was so worth it to have such large campspots right on the river. We were able to accommodate a large group and it was a quiet, peaceful place. There was even a beachy area to lay on near the river.

Secluded campsites and the rushing river in the background were the hallmarks of this campground. The sites are spacious and the ones to the south are well spread out. The camp hosts were friendly and sold fire wood too. If you get a spot next to the river then it's just perfect.

Heads up other Asian families: Steve the park manager flagged us down and was aggressive and condescending to my family, speaking to us as though we weren’t entirely fluent in “you’re not welcome here.” It’s a beautiful spot of course. I’d go again with plenty of POC friends, but we felt vulnerable with our elders in tow. He treated us in a way that made us feel entirely unwelcome. Instead of enjoying our day off, we had to deescalate Steve. I’m not here to “check” this tiny man or even pretend there’s someone to complain to— honestly it’s 2021 and we can’t be bothered with an old angry bigot who acts like a cop— but wanted to give a heads up to others planning a pleasant family trip...

Paid $15/ night with Senior ATB pass. We booked #16 pull-through site to guarantee a spot, then we scouted out the First Come First Served sites, most of them would fit our 26’ TT and Ram 1500 with room to spare. Stayed for additional 4 days. No connectivity, pit rest rooms clean and NOT SMELLY, quick ride to Parkdale to do internet. Hood River 25 mi for Walmart and many restaurants. Also July and August home to many orchards: apples, peaches, cherries etc. Pies from Packard Orchards and Bakery, I recommend cherry and...

Campsites, roads, toilets all in excellent condition. The campground is managed by Lost Lake Resort and the Forest Service, expect both to visit your site each day. Our Host, Art, was great! The northern trail out of the campground was blocked in many places. It also looked like there was a backpacker camp just past the northern most campsite, judging by the fresh human flower farm and exuberant amount of toilet paper... blech! This campground started to fill up fast as the weekend approached. Sites can't be reserved...
