Sahale Lodge — Hotel in Hood River

Update: cheese steak is gone now too :( I dont eat here anymore.

Only gotten food poisoning here once, cheese steak and burgers are pretty good. I've enjoyed a couple slices of pizza but the Mexican seems like a nonstarter.

Wish they hadn't axed the Asian inspired joint. The short rib and chicken was almost actually good even if the fried rice was like something a British person would make. The Italian counter that replaced it is mediocre at best.

Overall decent for lodge food but it never seems like it would be hard to step it up. Sahale grill is the play sans Asian food, but avoid the fried fish and chicken. The chicken tenders is the most egregious cash grab on the menu. It's like ordering the Alfredo at any decent restaurant - 5 dollar food for 25 bucks. Staff is great though as always, friendly and helpful. Seriously though get the cheese steak - it's worth a whole...

Great experience after Christmas. Found the new facilities to be excellent and the restaurant’s and other food offerings to be of high quality and managed correct. Food was a little high in price but considering the location was acceptable. Found the staff to be very pleasant...

If you like pizza cold in the middle but with burned crust for $32 go for it. Guessing they refrigerate or freeze pizzas then throw in their oven. Food not as good as last year. The fact they suggest a tip when you pay for a burned/cold pizza when you bus your own table...
