We went to wyeth during july 2019. It is a pretty decent campground. It does not have columbia river access. Pets are allowed. Restrooms were decent as well. Bit of a interstate noise.

We were just unlucky that the week we went there, the power went off one night, so the next morning there was no flushable water in the toilets which caused some issues. Other than that it was pretty good location wise.

Our site was #12 which was very big. We fit 3 cars, 3 tents (2 of them 3 person, 1 4 person) with still plenty of room left for another tent and a small car.

And we luckily had a tap just opposite to our site which was the only running tap water in the whole site due to some drainage issue.

There are super markets nearby like 15 minutes drive. You can go many places to hike nearby or just relax beside the columbia river near cascade locks. Multnomah falls is a good point to visit if...

I just went there on Friday 2nd August I didn't even know this new place exists or it's a rebuilt old place not sure it's nice and I really truly hope everybody takes care of it they really went out of their way to fix this place up and make a nice area for people to ride bikes and be able to go on walks take your kids and companions yeah I give it five stars it's laid out school the way the Old Highway was and they just really made it look Pleasant if you get a chance go on the Old Highway 30 I would stop by there and just be kind of amazed at how they kept everything the way it should be little bit of modern but still very old school and thanks to all those that work with the Forestry Department and Land Management did really intelligent with the money and I think when other people stop by you'll be praised for your efforts. thanks again from the Old Baron...

Only reason for 4 stars is no showers. But then it wouldn't be so quiet. We had reservations to spend 3 days in the tent sites at Ainsworth State Park. Just say no! Horrible hike up in the trees and that was a handicap spot. Cold, barely level. We stayed in Wyeth instead about two sites from the back of the bathroom can't remember the number. Large site, not too many bugs really nice and helpful camp hosts. Far enough away from the noise but we wore ear plugs. The birds in the morning can sometimes be noisy! Wyeth is more set back off the road than Ainsworth. There are some falls a short hike away at Wyeth. We were close enough to Multnomah Falls and other things we wanted to see. My husband loved it. They do have...

Nice compact campground. The sites themselves are relatively spaced out so you do get privacy from other sites. You will hear the highway traffic in the distance, it’s not too bad. There is also a railway line that goes along the interstate which gets quite loud especially with the horns. If you’re a light sleeper, keep that in mind. The restrooms had flush toilets but no running water when I went (it was mentioned on the website as well). Restrooms aren’t the most well maintained. The road is well paved throughout the campsite. There is a hiking trail located inside the campground. The best thing I would say is the location since it’s right on the Columbia River Gorge very close to the waterfalls.

Great for somewhat primitive camping, as in no hookups for RVs. Wyeth is conveniently located in the center of the Columbia River Gorge and only 30 minutes from the outskirts of Portland. Tons of biking and hiking in close proximity. Plan on continuous noise from the interstate and train traffic. Camp hosts are awesome! Water is currently unavailable (August 2023) so bring extra with you. Enjoy the shade and cooler temps, typically, other than heat dome scenarios which push temps to 100+ occasionally. Welcome to the new normal. PS: leave your firewood home as in NO campfires! Also a new norm!
