My husband and I stayed here for a midway stop on the Natchez Trace and loved it. The owner, Carol, was the best-such a wonderful personality. She had all the answers to all our questions about Houston, the Trace and nearby attractions. I loved the house and her fantastic antiques. The rooms we saw were decorated very nicely. All the rooms are upstairs so she had a table set up with a coffee maker and cups on that floor for those of us who like coffee the minute we wake. There was also a small cooler of soft drinks with a small basket of snacks and bottles of water close by. I thought our room was very quiet, especially being on the front corner facing both streets. The breakfast was a very good Southern one with biscuits, grits, scrambled eggs, potato casserole, bacon and sausage. We didn't eat again til dinner. The only thing negative was the room not having its own thermostat. We like a very cold room to sleep in and ours could have been a little cooler. Other than that our stay was perfect. We will...
Read moreMy husband and I took an unplanned trip through Houston MS while heading to Colombus MS for an air show and to visit our son. Fortunately for us all the local hotels were either booked or extremely overpriced. So we decided to stay at Bridges Hall Manor and we were not disappointed! Ms. Carol was pleasant and welcoming from the time she answered the door. Her charming and well kept home immediately became our home. She made excellent local dinner suggestions. After a great nights rest, I woke to the smell of our delicious (and I do mean DELICIOUS) breakfast being prepared downstairs. I felt like I was back at Grandmas house. After thoroughly enjoying our breakfast and a wonderful visit with Ms. Carol, we headed on our way with the promise to return in very near future. Ms. Carol is the true definition of southern hospitality, her home will leave you rested, and her breakfast will not leave you hungry. Tell her The...
Read moreMe and my Husband stayed only 1 night honestly wish we had gotten for 2 nights because it is worth it we came up for my bestfriends wedding im her bridesmade. I love that there is space from everyone else we had a king bed on the bottom floor yall this place was like a mini apartment you get access to the full size kitchen as well we had a living room with a pretty nice flat screen with ruko built in. It is an older building but that didn't take away from our experience We live in an older home so it didn't bother us none. I also loved instead of having to go through a whole process of checking in we just wrote our names in a book and had the last 4 of our number as the pin to get in I thought that was pretty cool I recommend staying here even if its just 1 night the bed was...
