No Way Jose — Restaurant in Houston

My husband and I were staying at the bed and breakfast down the street and walked to this restaurant. They have just about anything on the menu so you will have lots of choices. I got the Burrito Loco because it was marked as one of their specialities. My husband got the fajita potato. Were we ever surprised when our food came out. It was huge! We could have easily split 1 entree. But, the food was very good. My burrito had chicken, beef, beans and rice with a cheese sauce and red sauce on top. I thought the spiciness level was just right. My husband's meal had shredded lettuce with a lot of sour cream. Unfortunately, he doesn't eat sour cream. But the potato with chicken and beef fajita topping was very good. The best Tex-Mex food I have ever eaten. They opened a new location on Wednesday September 10 in the old Piggly Wiggly on Hwy 15 S. I have not been yet but cannot wait to go. The best food and service you can get anywhere I the area. The portions are large. Most plates can be shared with another person. My favorite dish is the mixed fajitas for two but my go-to dish is the Happy Chicken add chorizo. The best part is the time it takes to get your food. Most restaurants will take forever to bring your food trying to sell you drinks and appetizers whatever else they can. Sometimes I am amazed at how quickly they prepare it. Used to love this place. The service has absolutely gone downhill. I tried speaking to Carlos (the manager/owner) about it and his response was “Sometimes it’s the people.” Extremely poor management. I try to be understanding but 5 times in a row of absolutely terrible service is a little frustrating. I’ll still visit Grenada’s restaurant but you won’t be able to pay me to take another step back inside Houston’s.
