Campground is rather open with little privacy, but some sites are huge and there are giant cottonwoods offering shade in much of the campground. Wind could be a problem for tenters as not much cover is available. The campground is quiet at night, but early morning and during the day can be a different story because the campground is directly adjacent from a cattle pasture and the noisiest cows I've ever heard in my life. The campground has a great view of Devils Tower, and is very very close to Devils Tower Trading Post and the KOA if you need firewood, ice, or supplies. This campground is first-come, first-served only, but it didn't fill up on the Wednesday night we were there, and most people came in after 4pm. If you arrive around noon like we did, you'll probably have your pick of almost any site in the campground. Restrooms and dishwashing stations are clean and more modern than those in most NPS campgrounds. Camp hosts seemed rather aggressive at enforcing rules, but we never had any issues at all because we apparently know the drill :-) All sites are pull-through for RVs. Sunsets and sunrises here are gorgeous! There are no sites on the river, as there is a fence that keeps you well away from it :-( and that's where the cows all play and drink and poop anyway. There are several ADA sites here that offer level tent pads, paved parking, and very easy restroom access. There is supposedly free firewood available at the campground, but it's only available when they have adequate staffing levels...which they don't...so you'll probably have to buy some. The visitor center here is swamped in the middle of the day, but after 4pm it gets much easier to find parking so you can walk the...

Belle Fourche River Campground is located within the Devil's Tower National Park. Most sites have a spectacular view of Devil's Tower. The campground is next to the prairie dog town and has easy access to the trails.

This campground is a first come, first serve. We arrived around 1 p.m., and at least half the sites were available at that time. The sites did fill up quickly as the afternoon progressed. When checking in, grab a registration sheet at the entrance kiosk. Select your site, complete the form, including credit card info, and then deposit the form back at the kiosk.

Sites appeared to be pretty level, although they may need some slight adjustment. Sites were large enough to accommodate most RVs and trailers. There are no hookups at these sites. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. The park has firewood available at no charge at a spot near the kiosk. KUDOS to the park for providing firewood. Most parks forbid outside wood for concern of transporting ash borers or other insects and disease. Providing wood at no charge helps ensure that guests adhere to the outside wood ban.

The camp hosts greeted us upon arrival and were friendly and helpful. The park was quiet in the evening. There are limits on generator hours, which helped reduce noise. There is a KOA right outside the gate. The KOA has a cafe, gift shop, and some food items. There is a great bar and grill down the road from the park entrance.

We stayed 2 nights here, which was plenty of time to experience the park and...

Our campsite at Belle Fourche River Campground at Devil's Tower National Monument was great. (We were in B24 for 6 delightful nights.) It was truly one of the most peaceful, quiet, & relaxing campgrounds we'd EVER stayed in. Our view of Devil's Tower was unforgettabe! We felt very lucky to secure our pull-thru, great first come, first serve campsite In late September 2021. What a bargain. We paid $10 a night with my hubby's senior park pass. There were no hookups (but since we had solar panels, we didn't need hookups). A picnic table was provided, & there was potable water nearby. The campground restrooms were well maintained & clean. There was a utility sink available, too at the restroom building. The campsite itself was quite large - & we were under the most beautiful cottonwood tree in the entire campground - it's October color was gorgeous! We enjoyed excellent AT&T cell service which just made our 6 nights that much more enjoyable! The campground was just an hour away from Spearfish, South Dakota. We took a day trip & drove Spearfish Canyon & went shopping during our stay. At Spearfish Canyon, we visited Bridal Falls & were entertained by 4 white mountain goats. It was great driving back "home" to our campsite after shopping in Spearfish. ❤️ Our campsite at Belle Fourche River Campground at Devil's Tower National Monument in Wyoming was...

Highly recommend!! We didn't know this was there until we pulled in and saw it off to the left, we asked a ranger at the tower and then went to check it out. $20 a night, $10 for seniors. All drive thru lots with picnic table amd fire pit. Nice clean bathrooms located in both camp loops. Shady and surrounded by clover fields, prairie dogs, birds and yes bees. They don't bother you if you leave them alone but if you're allergic it may not be a great spot of you. This is located at the base of Devil's Tower, you can watch night climbers place their lights as they go up and disappear as they climb back down. Rangers do a nightly presentation that is entertaining. Everyone was very friendly and wonderful.

Campsites were much larger (and quieter overall) than many of the other campsites my husband and I experienced throughout our recent National Park journey out west. Grass was soft, flat, with minimal ground obstructions, so our night was very comfortable. Nearby bathrooms were clean and stocked. Although the FCFS structure was a little nerve wracking during peak summer travel season, we made it to the campground around 4p BEFORE doing any hikes or activities and there were still plenty of spaces. They filled up fast after we set up, but I imagine if you make it to the campground by 5p-6p you'd be good. BONUS - the Bat Festival was happening the same day we arrived! I love bats!!!
