While the food was great, we were seated before several tables an also placed our orders before the others were sat yet they received their food way before we did and we were the last to be served when we were the first to be seated and order taken. When we were finished we asked for boxes and our waitress brought them but did not bring up a bill. We continued to pack up our food and collect our dirty dishes to place at the end of the table then had to wait 10 minutes. In those 10 minutes we saw an older couple sat down and not given menus and blatantly ignored. When they asked for menus they were told to wait again. My mother visiting got up and got them menus. We decided to take our food out to the car were our waitress just watched us while she stood and talked with her coworkers. My mother left $100 bill and we left as we have thing to do. When we were followed out by our waitress FINALLY bringing our check she had absolutely no customer service and no regard for how we were treated. The so called owner which appeared as a crazy woman comes out immediately screaming at my mother instead of trying to resolve the issue when my mother wanted to talk to her about how to fix it, the owner had no desire to show any ounce of customer service. It was our first and last time at this establishment and a horrible way to introduce my mother visiting us to Wyoming life and people. This is the first bad experience I have had since moving here 3 years ago. Absolutely horrible. Oh also, they have a gorgeous view of the tower but you cannot eat out there with service you must order to go, that is terrible ownership and business running.
**As to your response, we did attempt to fix it and pay the full amount but your owner wanted to come out like a crazy lady screaming and not listening. Not our fault you are running the place badly. No need to worry we will never be coming back ever again, I don’t want anyone else that comes to visit us feel unwelcomed and to get treated so badly…. That is not the...
Read moreAll we wanted was a glas of wine, but that didn’t stop staff from being friendly. Since we were from New England and tired from our trip, our bartender advised us to watch out for dear that would be digits and flighty because of hunting season. We took her words to heart and both of us kept alert. As we entered the Aladdin intersection and light, we slowed almost to a stop. A deer was trying to make the decision to cross or not. NO! We screamed as the dear stepped out as a Jeep decided to speed past us, followed by another in a white pick up truck. The struckdear flew in pieces over our rented Altima. Briefly I wondered what if the Jeep had hit us. We should have had our four way lights on.
Later, down off The highway east of Spearfish we stopped for a meal. As we got going again we saw the dyer results of a horrible accident. A white pickup was in the medium strip with some slight front end damage. He was 20. His first name was cactus. He had his seatbelt on and survived. The driver of the other car, didn’t have his seatbelt on. He died. When I saw his tiny crumpled vehicle I was shocked to learn it was the same type we were driving.
Please, buckle up, go slower, anticipate what might happen. Please
Big thank you to the bartender who had lived in greater...
Read moreWe stopped here after a visit to Devil's Tower and hiking around the base of the tower. This restaurant was recommended to us by one of the park rangers and it's proximity to the park made it a welcome stop for lunch. The recommendation proved true as we all left satisfied and pleased with our meals. Being lunch time, I can't comment on dinner selections since that menu isn't available until after 4PM. We all chose hamburgers, two of us getting the buffalo burgers, which are locally sourced for the meat, and two beef hamburgers for the other two of our party. Seating was readily available and our server gave good recommendations for our meals. The buffalo burgers were excellent, with the vegetable toppings all fresh and tasty. It was a third pound of meat and was plenty filling. The onion rings that we got for our sides were well worth the extra dollar and as good as I've had. All of our party said their meal was top notch and plenty to eat. Our server was pleasant and attentive as well. After we ate we stopped at the shop upstairs and picked up a few knick knacks as souvenirs for our family back home. They had the usual selection of t-shirts and hats, along with more unique items and locally themed things for sale. Again, a very pleasant...
