I planned a wedding in Huntsville and booking the room block and using this hotel was the worst part of the entire wedding planning process. Here are my list of complaints: They made it nearly impossible to book a block of rooms for our guests. I called every day for one week and left messages each day with both the sales manager and general manager, and nobody ever called me back. I went to the hotel two times and asked to talk to the manager, and the person at the front desk always said the manager wasn't there. I eventually had to call corporate Hilton to book the room block. I dropped off Welcome Bags for our guests and the confirmed with the check-in counter exactly who should get a Welcome Bag. The check in counter did not give the Welcome Bags to at least 50% of the guests who used this hotel. My fiance stayed in a room the night prior to the wedding and specifically requested that the room be cleaned the next day because that is where we were staying our wedding night. He requested it be cleaned when he checked in and also when he left the hotel on the wedding day. We came back that night and the room had not been cleaned. It was very disappointing. When checking out, I received a notification on my credit card that I was charged for two rooms used by our wedding guests. The hotel somehow charged me $900 "on accident" instead of charging it to a completely separate guest's credit card. How do you accidentally charge the wrong person (no similarity in name) $900?
When I called the manager (again) and provided my list of complaints, nothing was done to fix the problems. I gave it two stars because the breakfast buffet has a waffle maker.
Overall, I am very disappointed with this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone else trying to book rooms for multiple people. They have a monopoly on the Hampton Cove side of town, but it is not worth...
Read moreThis is my husbands favorite hotel to stay in Alabama. This was actually my first time.. I review everything We do so here’s my take on this place. Let’s start with the staff.
The staff at the front desk were nice and very informative. I’d like to say they were very patient too. I can always tell when someone is stressed or overwhelmed because of things happening or when it’s a lot of ppl needing things at once. I understand it for me it’s all how a person act with it, and they did very well. If it was me I’d probably run away 😂 jk jk the cleaning ladies did a great job when the rooms needed cleaning.
Being that I have children on the spectrum I need washers and dryers every where we stay so i couldn’t use theirs at the time the coins was jammed. However they gave me extra covers for my son’s cots and I appreciate that!
There is a pool out there but we never got to use it.. also a gym.. (we already get a workout hiking all the time) lol we’re on the go content creators by the time we get back we’re ready for bed 🥹 btw those beds FEEL GOOD!
The hotel is literally down the street from a lot of restaurants! Also Walmart is close by too. Next door is bojangos 😉
Breakfast is delicious!
Coffee is always available!
There’s a microwave/fridge/hairdryer available in the room.
If you receive the right room you’ll probably have a great Mountain View ❤️ we were on the side so we got to see a little nice view of it.
I didn’t have to use my own body soap etc because they have good ones there! It was so convenient getting in the shower and just have soap already there. And we took LOTs OF SHOWERS. While being there because it was most definitely hot during our stay!
We would most definitely stay again when we come back,...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed at this location at the end of March and were upgraded to a King Bed studio suite (we are Diamond members) and it was wonderful. We were not upgraded this time and had a regular king bedroom. That is not the problem. The problem was the room was either not constructed well or maintained well. The bathroom contains most of the issues. I have attached photos showing the poor finish work around the edges of the floor, the missing ring around the sprinkler head. I've also attached a sprinkler head in the entryway with the finished ring. The interior shower door does not have a track to keep it in place. The handle on the door is not secure and shifts. The doorstop serves no purpose as the shelves above it stick out further than the doorstop. The flooring sounds as if it loose. ||||The biggest turnoff was the filthy floors - carpet and bathroom. After taking a shower and walking in the room I cleaned my feet with a washcloth and include pictures of the washcloth.||||This is not what I am accustomed to in any Hilton property and was not the case during our last stay. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, but a filthy room...
