Alpine Lodge is in an excellent location and is very affordable. We stayed in August. It is difficult to rate for different reasons, some of which are partially outside of the ownerships control. ||Here's a rundown of the good/bad so you know what you're getting:||||Good: The owners are very friendly. They were readily available and also laid back at the same time, (perhaps too laid back as will explain later). Helpful and kind overall.||-The cabin and grounds were clean, except for cigarette butts (more on that later). The cabin smelled fresh and everything was good and in working order. The hired help is always cleaning something.||-The pool really is awesome, and the hot tub was nice on cool evenings.||||Now, for the bad.||-We rented a pontoon boat for a day. The pontoon boat worked well and we had a good time. However, our boat wasn't ready for us. Leading up to our rental I told two different workers that I would come get the key at 8:30 and was confirmed both times. When I came to get the key, the boat wasn't ready as it needed to be filled and cleaned, and would be ready at 9:00. No problem, just a half hour and stuff happens, right? Well, we got down to the dock by 9:00 and no one was down there. A few minutes later the owner showed up. He was a really nice guy! However, he still hadn't filled or cleaned our boat. We waited another twenty minutes while he gassed up the boat. Perhaps more disappointing, though, is that the boat wasn't cleaned after the previous renters. Wrappers, used paper towels, chips, etc. were all over. I cleaned up as much as I could because by this time I wanted to get going before the lake got busy.||Also, when we got back, no one was there to check how much gas we used. How are we to know it's accurately checked, not only after us, but after the previous users?||||-Next, know what you're getting with the clientele. This is partially outside of the owners control, but most of the people staying there were just plain rude or disgusting. Our last day a group of older people, 5 women and 1 man, were behaving very inappropriately. He was taking pictures of them as they posed in provocative ways all over the pool, and doing other gross things. I've also never seen so many people smoking around a pool before throughout the week, and cigarettes were all over the grounds of the resort. There were also a lot of teens in different families (with their parents) swearing left and right around our kids. Long story short, if you have small children know that the good prices of this place attract some people who are not kid-friendly.||||Overall I would recommend Alpine Lodge based on the cabins, prices, and friendliness of the owners to people looking for a reasonably priced stay on a good location on the lake.||However, if you are looking for a true "family place" for small kids, I would look for a place that is a little more "controlled" and regulated...

I never thought I would be the person to write a review, but I felt I needed to after the experience we had to warn future renters and hopefully share some insight to the owners. In general, the facilities are beyond cozy, impeccably clean and simply beautiful. I was so thankful to have found what I was considering to be my new weekend lake home until the morning of check out. We were woken up at 7:30 in the morning being yelled from the outside our cabin and it continued to be an extremely hostel environment until we left the parking lot. 1st we were being SCREAMED at for having the back door open while having the air condition on. Ok, I understand your point of view, but I like having the door open on nice mornings, but my husband likes the air on. I do the same thing at my own home; never thought I would be yelled at a place I am renting for a weekend get away. Regardless, I closed it imminently and felt so bad for being disrespectful. Soon after, same man is screaming at the front door now to get our trash. My husband ran to the door to see what is going on. Not sure if it was trash from pool goers the night before or a raccoon had a field day, but there was trash scattered throughout including beer cans and random pizza boxes that was not ours. Again, I completely understand the frustration, but again this type of aggression was completely displaced and unnecessary. At this point I was in tears from embarrassment. My husband picked up all the trash and we began packing to get out of there as soon as we could. Again, the same man is now yelling at my husband outside about us having a dog. This was the breaking point for me, I was physically shaking from fear. I PERSONALLY called them twice to make sure they allow small dogs before arriving. The lady who I spoke with several times on phone confirming that I can bring my dog forgot to mention it to this angry man who is now yelling at my husband over my service dog being on the premises and him not knowing. I decided it was time for me to address this imminently. I put on my CDC mask and kept my distance, but went to the front office shaking and in tears to understand what the issue is. The lady that answered the door was a sweetheart and apologized. I paid the pet fee she forgot to charge me and that was the end of it. She, and the cleanliness is the only reason I'm putting 2 starts in stead of one, but this entire situation was really hard for us. I personally struggle being uncomfortable everyday, and hate feeling that I had made any worker or owner there uncomfortable and do sincerely apologize if I did. Regardless, this level of aggression and yelling was absolutely uncalled for. I do hope that after speaking to the lady that they possibly reconsider how they treat their future guests as this was a very unfortunate visit at a resort that had so much wonderful potential. Very...

Actually, we haven't stayed here in over 15 years, but I just had to write when I found them still going strong. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, wife, 2 daughters, and I would stay at Alpine Lodge and to this day my girls, now grown with their own families, share wonderful memories of our many visits. Dorothy and her husband ran a clean operation and always exceeded our expectations. We would take other vacations, visited Maine, California, even Vancouver, but summer wasn't complete until we made the trek to Branson and spent at least a week at Alpine Lodge. We would spend hours swimming and fishing off the dock on beautiful Table Rock Lake. We always rented the Pontoon for a day and I always enjoyed Dorothy's rental briefing where she'd literally bring the motor out of the water and say, "You see that nice clean propeller...that's how we want it returned." The A frames were cozy with just enough room for breakfast and a good sleep. We'd have coffee on the small deck and grill out several times. Silver Dollar City was also a must visit which is conveniently close which allows you to avoid the long lines getting in since you're right there. I encourage any family that might be looking for a great adventure that is easy on the budget and guaranteed to build life long fond family vacation memories to call Alpine Lodge. Great Branson location on magnificent Table Rock Lake with rustic yet clean and cozy cabins near to Silver Dollar City and all that Branson has to offer. I'm so glad my family found this place decades ago and it's heartwarming to know it's still going strong!! Great...

Overall, This is an great place to stay! Know this upfront. It’s clean, it’s cozy and right up your alley if you have a large family. The staff was so nice and got us into our chalet a half hour early! The pool is a new addition and it is so beautiful; just know that it’s SALT water and not a chlorine pool. Now the reasons for the 4 star rating: toilets are tiny! I mean really tiny. I know this is a weird thing to say, but we are larger people (250-300 lbs and over 6’) and to use these were kind of comical. We had ample beds (BUT) the beds were so hard and so wobbly that to sleep comfortably was daunting at best. My husband slept on the futon and I slept in the bed by myself because of how much the springs sprang! Lol. The WIFI lags and stops, consistently. So if you have kids who like to watch shows on their tablets be aware of this. And one of the last most important factors is that, as a seeing impaired person, there are no railings outside to walk down to the pool or when you come out of the chalet. This can be tricky, as the ground is rocky and uneven. The chalet we stayed in also did not have access for a wheelchair so you would have to get out of it in order to enter the chalet. We didn’t have a wheelchair but in case you do this is worth noting. Additionally, the cost for the night was steep ($300+). For us, this was a little costly considering all the needed upgrades.

Well make you completely understand ever of of every sentence. We are talking fine print. On the shores of table rock. Make sure to zoom in on the red circle of picture 1. If the sun hits just right we can see a few rays of sun bounding off the lake through the woods. Dead bolt ont the back door? Well the lock is there but no bolt. Front door have a door handle lock but you have to put the rug under the door to stop the a/c from leaking out and same goes for the bathroom vent always open. Love the dresser but not big on the whole draws dont stay closed even with the fancy furniture moving pads under it. Hot water on full no cold your coffie at 5 am is still warmer and you can't beat the lake smelling copper tasting shower water. I place this in my folder with EAST ST LOUIS. Been there and absolutely no reason to go back. I almost remembered hold the flush until all the water is out of the tank or it won't stop filling from all the sediment in TANK. Last but not lest got to remember the cooling affect. 2 window units one at 64 and the other at 60 the temperature stays at 80 unless you bring your own fans for air circulation UPDATE: as we pack up to leave and read other consumer reviews and seeing owner rude replys to consumers .....be very careful we fully accept to be charged extra for owner pocket linning winning

We had a short weekend stay at the Alpine lodge, but we definitely enjoyed our time here. The staff was very friendly and happy to accommodate our late arrival. Staying in an A-frame is a unique experience, and if you’re looking to really feel like you’re staying in the mountains, it’s a fun time. Our unit was spotlessly clean and very cozy. The resort definitely has the feel being family owned—very quaint and well kept. We didn’t use the pool/hot tub but the setting looked beautiful. There is some room for improvement in the beds—mattresses felt a bit old and springy but the linens were nice. There’s a few things to consider if you’re looking to stay here. The A-frames have a lot of steps and tight clearances. You should look into their other accommodations if you have limited mobility. Also, I’d recommend bringing along some drinking water. I’m sure the water here is safe to consume, but it has a strong metallic smell and odd taste. Overall, I’d recommend the Alpine Lodge if you’re looking for a more unique, secluded stay in the Ozarks. The location is also phenomenal for visiting Silver Dollar City as you are located just a few minutes behind the park. This basically means you can skip all the traffic as the vast majority of people arrive at the park from the opposite direction.
