Dear RV people:
Arrived at 1256 and did not get parked until after 1430 because space 1-16 is used for overnight people and there is a full size palm tree in one side of the 12' wide concrete pad that removes two full feet of the concrete pad and on the other side are bushes and a raised concrete edging.
So what you have is a 10' pad that you MUST make a 90 degree turn into because of the parking next to the building (ALL the cars must be removed for the tight turn.) Does your RV turn 90 degrees? (I asked the office if I could park my extra truck next to the building next to our parking area and they approved it. I guess the office does not know that it would block getting into my space 1-16.)
And because every class A RV has mirrors out 18" next to the front of the RV that leaves about 8' of ramp to get into if the mirror is to miss the palm tree on the right.
It's an absolute GOAT ROPE and I strongly suggest that when you call that you say you do NOT want spot 1-16 (it's made for two RV's; spot 1 & 16 but is used for over night people with tow cars)
Bottm line; stay away from this parking at all costs. Additionally, you must know that extra $$'s are required for the electric; a real bummer.
I really dislike places that charge "X" + electrical + this + that.
As for the review that did not like highway noise; What did you expect from a park 1/4 mile from a major freeway? And if you did not notice that the RR line is next to the highway' you just might need glasses. Did you think that the RR line would not be there after driving next to them for 300 miles?

Read moreWe came down from Reno NV in December to enjoy much warmer weather. We like the Palm Springs area and their monthly rate was very reasonable. The spaces are a little on the small side but we have been in smaller. Our 38 foot motor home fit ok but we had to park our jeep elsewhere. Some of the spots are larger so depends on what you get. We were in site 84 for reference. Utilities were good but the water pressure was a little low. They have a security gate with a passcode so make sure you get the code before you get here as you will be stuck without it. They did tell us check in time was 2 PM so verify when making reservations. The sites are all concrete as are the park streets. Not too much shade which is fine in the winter but would be helpful in the summer here. Most of the sites have oleander hedges which gives you some privacy which we like. Their wifi was free and pretty fast which is way better than normal. You do get some freeway noise here as you are pretty close to I 10 but mostly just a low roar. Way quieter than several area parks that are next to the railroad. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a pool and spa in nice shape as well as a craft room, workout room, library, and meeting room. They do have planned activities and we enjoyed the weekly potluck, the happy hour and some of the crafts planned. The place is well maintained and in excellent shape. We really enjoyed our stay here and...
Read moreI booked a tent package for Coachella weekend. It's definitely overpriced for what you get which is a flimsy tent that gets super hot, some chairs, and a air mattress/sleeping bags; my air mattress was deflated and dirty. You are also packed very close to other tents which is uncomfortable. They play loud music literally all day/night, which I suppose is due to the festival season, but it was annoying after a short while. Their parking is essentially a sand pit where there are a lot of prickly rocks or something like it, that hurt my fingers when I tried to pry them out of my shoes (they could at least pave their parking lot with the amount of money they're making for sub-par services). I opted to sleep in my car instead of the tent for two nights before eventually checking out early because I couldn't do it anymore. Bathrooms are super small and outdated (the toilet seat was coming off in one stall). They do offer free cold water and are a direct stop for the Coachella shuttle bus. But overall, I would not recommend this place. You're better off spending your hard-earned money on...
