Lakeshore Motel Ice Lake — Hotel in Iron River

Soon as I got here I loved it then I walk in and the lady behind the desk was a absolute sweetheart very kind and easy to talk to I came from Lansing all the way up here (12&1/2 hour bus ride) and I tell u I couldn’t be more impressed with this place after talking to the wonderful lady and renting room for 3 days in a row (all paid at once by my choice very convenient) I get the key and walk into the room.....OMG WONDERFUL JUST WONDERFUL!!!!! I walk in and first thing I notice is it’s like a little cabin all to yourself they have the perfect size flat screen tv mounted right above the bed perfect for laying down and watching don’t have to stretch neck to look up at it I mean PERFECT ANGLE AND HEIGHTS to lay back and relax then the bed perfect not super soft where u sink into it but far from hard and lump perfect comfort my me (bad back) also noticed Nice size refrigerator & microwave comes with a very nice look brand new updated chair with portable stool that rock❤️♥️ Perfect For all sizes ppl Comfortably has a closet with hangers for your clothes there’s a window by the door with a crank to ope up to receive fresh air then there’s a back window that faces the lake when I say beautiful view I mean dead gorgeous view of the lake Right next to there is the bathroom 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Very clean one person standup shower which is gray all you really need they leave you massage soap Bar soap shampoo and conditioner and it’s not the cheap kind either they really put their time and effort to give you the best of the best to Cleanse with also 2 cups for drinking there’s a soap dish on the sink so you don’t have to put your soap right on the counter loved that they gave you more than enough towels face rags and of course a towel for the floor for when you get out of the shower they have no problem replacing your towels when you stay for a few days like I have bathroom is nice size for the cabin like size room there’s all types of neat stuff on the wall as in pictures and hanging stuff makes it feel real home like outdoors vibe to it The shower runs great hot water no problem therew plenty of counter space with a nightstand next to your bed I cannot explain more better how much lading is available natural and unnatural lighting they did not leave inch of the room that could not have light in it once it got dark Room no also smells great no old and dusty smell (great housekeeping) to me smells Ike fresh flowers in the spring 😁. And for a price wise which is very cheap by the way you get way more than what you paid for if we’re being honest because this room should be at least 100+ dollars a night and I pay nowhere near that so give them three thumbs up for that one air conditioner also in room in season which is right under the window that cranks open I absolutely am in love with the place and I would recommend it to anybody who is in the iron River area you have to come check it out if you give it one night you will never want to leave!!! With that said I’m going to enjoy this room With all its wonderful features please make sure to leave them a review because I know you will love it and with everything going on in the world during this pandemic small motels like this especially wonderful ones like this deserve to be talked...

I am renovating a home in Iron River and don't have running water in the house yet. Fine for me and my boy, but not my ladies. I called the lake shore hotel and told the front desk I needed a room for my wife and two young girls, she gave me a one queen room for $66 a night and we were very happy. My boy and I slept in our house and the ladies at the lake shore. All was well. Until I had the temerity to take a shower in the room I paid for! She actually called me and said she saw us leaving the room and knew we were taking showers in there! She charged me $20 bucks for my shower and lost several nights of my family staying there. We won't be back and I will recommend everyone use the Chicaugon lake inn. They bend over backwards to earn your business there.

Added after the owners response. Now the owner has proven herself a liar as well. I bet she thought I wouldn't see her response. She posted a response that only 2 were booked, eight took showers and five are breakfast. I only have five people in my family, so there were not 8 taking showers. That's ridiculous. How would she know anyway? Creepy. And I never took from her continental breakfast! I never even saw it! Unbelievable! I booked the room for my wife and two girls, we were all there talking to her in her lobby when we checked in. The fact that she would lie about this now is even more stunning than the fact that she would charge for me to take a shower in a room I paid for! I was told of no policy that would dictate how long of a shower a guest may take, so her complaints are as unfounded as they were petty and ridiculous. She told me the truth on the phone and now is telling lies to cover a bad review. It's kind of creepy having a hotel owner calling you and telling you, "I know you and your son were taking showers in that room". Unbelievable. I stay 90 nights a year on the road in hotels and have never left a bad review of a hotel before. There is always a...

The Lakeshore Motel is awesome! Bonnie and Mike are the new owners who couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. They really have thought of everything when it comes to the details both large and small. The rooms are super cute and spotlessly clean. They are pet friendly too and this place is definitely Milo approved! Located on gorgeous Ice Lake which is LOADED with fish. My husband and I caught tons of fish on one of their many fishing boats that they have available for rent. They also have kayaks, canoes and paddle boats. Nice little beach area by the pier, plenty of guests were enjoying being in the water. There's tons to do in Iron River - though there's really no need to leave the motel! They have an ice machine (which we were not expecting and pleasantly surprised by) and a free breakfast with more options than we thought. Such a cute place, every room faces the lake and has a fridge and microwave. Being here is like stepping back into time but with all the modern amenities that you'll need. I seriously cannot wait to go back (and hopefully get myself a hoodie too)! Thanks for your hospitality Bonnie and Mike, we wish you nothing but the best and hope to see you soon!
