CROOKS! I was traveling at night through Jacksboro TX and decided to book a room. I stopped at a gas station and opened the Expedia app. I found this was the only hotel available and was 1 mile from my location. There were many rooms available and I booked one. I went to the property, rang the doorbell and one person opened the door. I told him that I had the booking, he replied "no room, sold out". I explained that I just booked through Expedia and he kept saying "no room". Then I asked him to cancel the booking, he called his partner (they spoke a foreign language among themselves) and checked the computer. Then he said "computer bad". I kept asking for the cancellation, he kept repeating "computer bad". Then I contacted Expedia in the chat and asked the agent to do the cancellation. I was so tired so I booked another hotel 30' away and started driving, could not stay with the agent. Next day I went to the chat again with Expedia, after a while the agent told me they don't want to refund me because I didn't show up. So I had to call OYO to get the refund. I called them, the agent kept me on hold while she called the property, they told her that I didn't show up and they tried to contact me to know if I was going to take the room. Such liars! I got upset with the agent and finally she told me my only option was calling the property myself, those people that barely speak english and said many times I didn't show up. where to begin … can hear tv and clear conversations through the wall of other guests, stained sheets also with cigarette burn holes, bathroom so small you can barely “close” the door (it’s still cracked open), very loud noise when you turn on bathroom fan that you just shouldn’t, bulb cover came off and was left sitting on bathroom counter. Don’t expect soaps, shampoos, coffee, nothing. basic old tv. no upkeep of the place at all. Rust spots on shower floor , cracked and messy paint jobs, and Cold water! Keep iunning for like 3-5 min and it'll get warm enough for a shower (not hot). ceilIngs have stain marks and are damages. Front door inside padlock is disabled by someone breaking it. Bathroom sink stained.

Read moreWe usually book low-price rooms and were not expecting much. Our room could not be locked from the outside. Deadbolt worked from the inside. No hot water for shower and the microwave did not work. We did not discover any of this until this morning and because of the limited English of the person at front desk we did not report. We did report the room not locking when we realized it after breakfast. We saw he had started cleaning the room when we went out for breakfast. He just shrugged and repeated what we said, and asked us to move so he could replace the sheets an hour before checkout time. We overheard another guest complain about lack of hot water as well.
