Embassy Suites by Hilton Akron Canton Airport — Hotel in Jackson Township

I really would not stay here again bad customer service by the front office . The lady’s that run the front desk very unfriendly . Most importantly this hotel can NOT be trusted . I had booked a one week stay and wanted to stay one extra night , I called the front desk lady she lied to me telling me the entire hotel was booked and couldn’t extend my stay. The hotel was nearly empty and the parking lot was empty. However I asked the cleaning lady if that was true she laughed and said they were empty . Then I asked the shuttle driver who assured me there was plenty of rooms because it wasn’t their busy season . So, then I spoke to the manager because I had no where to go it’s a small town and I was there on my own. He said sorry we have no available rooms like she said. I Explained to him I was there from far away (California) and didn’t have any clue where to go. He didn’t care and went back inside his office . I then walked up the empty hotel to my room to pack my things up and I started to search for the nearest hotel . I found one by the airport booked it and then they called me telling me somebody just cancelled you can stay( I didn’t believe them). I told them I had already booked a room somewhere else.She asked me where I told her where she said she’ll call them and cancel with NO charges . Well they lied again because I still got charged for that room and at this hotel (never got my money back) . I couldn’t sleep all night because I felt unsafe in a hotel I no longer trusted but staying was easier at the moment . I reallly don’t know what their reason was for acting in such a dishonest, rude and fraudulent way toward a customer that was paying for...

We had both our ceremony and reception at the Embassy and we could not be happier with the service we received. Initially, our event was going to take place at a different hotel. However, they were sold and cancelled all upcoming events, including ours. Of course, we were panicked, but we went back to the drawing board and remembered how much we liked the Embassy. Alexis was so accommodating and worked with us to stay within the budget we originally had with our other venue.

We mostly worked with Andrena and she was an absolute dream. She always responded to my various emails, talked me off of plenty ledges as we navigated planning a wedding during COVID-19, and never made me feel like a nuisance. I value how well she communicated mandates, changes that may affect our event, and solutions to any issues these mandates may have caused. The hotel is beautiful, well kept, and has the most amazing staff. Everyone was kind, we never felt like a bother, and they went above and beyond for me and my guests.

For the actual ceremony, the space was large enough to accommodate my group, while still practicing social distancing standards. The food was so dang on good that my guests made sure to mention it to me on SEVERAL occasions, during and after the event. At one point, a few guests got a little rowdy and Djafar handled the situation with grace, never making it an issue for me or my husband.

4 stars only because I’m picky and the refrigerator was small for staying here one week and not wanting to eat out every night. In short, very clean rooms, comfortable and spacious. The room offers a bar type counter with a sink, a small refrigerator and small microwave. There’s a desk with a desk chair and two chairs that share the same adjacent desk space. A Sofa with pull out bed. Bathroom is on the larger size And the bedroom is smaller but provides separate sleeping space. There is a bar in the lobby and a restaurant in the hotel. I had room service one night soup and a salad. The food was very good and the prices are reasonable. As the hotel description reads, there is a reception every night in the lobby with beer and house wine. There was definitely a significant gathering of people for this event.

If you’re looking for a clean hotel in a nice area and you are OK with eating out then I would recommend this hotel. The refrigerator doesn’t offer a lot of space for storage if you want to have microwave meals. I was here for a week and had to shop a couple of times simply because of the reduced space to store food in the refrigerator.
