Drury Inn & Suites Jackson — Hotel in Jackson

Great place to stay! Our room was clean and well laid out. Staff were professional, courteous, and always willing to help. The courteousey dining was good. Granted don't expect it to be on par with restaurant level, but it was really good. We discovered that we also had a free two adult beverage *per guest that was also included with the stay. I was there on business, so a nice drink before dinner after a long day was a nice touch. The Hotel is in an area where the restaurant foods available are oddly unbelievably good. I mean the quality of the foods were so damn good I considered moving here. The Dairy Queen for instance (a short walk across the parking lot) was amazing! (I will write review) I'm getting off track, but food in the area is across the board very well prepared, tasty and addicting. I mean like all the quality people worldwide who make food decided to live here together and make all establishments dealing in fast food, high end , barfood, or just regular burger joints, pizza.. taco.. etc.. the way we all hope it will be, as good as they advertise and like your eating the one in the photo. I am ranting a bit about the food, because it saddens me that I can't have it all the time. Drury is situated right off the expressway, very convenient and a great place to stay! .. and the food in the area.. damn them for making me dream of the food. Nothing compares.. I will write a song about it.. .. probably a sad one, with just a moment of happy reflection eating the food there... but ends sad. FYI: I did not add photos, my photos are of the unbelievably good food I consumed (in great quantities while I still had time.) sooooo good.. I can't stop writing about...

They're alright. I don't normally write reviews, but there's a reason I rate 1 star and it's the late night receptionist. Everything I asked of her, she made sure to above and being to make me feel like I was making her go way above and beyond her duties to do anything. To be honest, there was a wedding going on. But that's fine. Sobriety checks are fine. Problem was a locked front door (door you come in if you're off the street). She literally locked me out of everything after I expressed I don't have a working key and explained it's my girlfriend in the room and my room is unlocked. Just that everything should be unlocked for me because my keys don't work and I need to get to the room. So I go back through the main room area and the sliding doors are closed. I thought weird, the automatic doors should open. But they didn't. ( this was as a wedding party was being let out (not ideal. But something you deal with as a hotel)). So with the doors I had no force... I can see this being a point of contention later. But literally all I did see the door was off it's sliders, so I slid as it should and it did. We stopped at this Drury Inn during our Thanksgiving road trip. They had a nice little dinner set up with baked potatoes, a salad bar, and fixings for nachos. You also get complimentary drinks during dinner. The staff behind the desk, and the ladies who were also manning the dinner were SO NICE! Everyone was friendly and they were very accommodating and helpful to everyone there. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. There were no problems with the hotel's condition or our stay. While we were there, our 1 year old son got sick and threw up in the pack n play. We called the front desk and we had someone in our room right away. They helped clean and sanitize the room and showed my husband to the laundry area. They gave us complimentary soap and coins to use the machines, and they even switched our clothes from the washer to the dryer in the middle of the night, and in the morning, we had our clothes in a bag outside of our door. If that's not extraordinary service, I don't know what is! We don't see many Drury Inns, but that will always be our first choice in hotel from now on. Thank you to all the...
