Driving through and decided to stop. Used to have a local one in my hometown that we went too All the time. This one however fell short on both service and food selection. We walked in and waited more than 5 minutes to be seated. After being seated we were given our drinks and then didn't see another worker for over 20 minutes. My husband had to walk up to the counter were several workers were standing behind talking...to get our refills. The salad part of the bar was well stocked...but that was all. There is enough room for like 8-10 full pizzas...but when we went up to the bar there was maybe 8 total pieces of pizza and all non-kid friendly types (I had two children with me who don't eat onions, peppers, mushrooms) I assumed that there would be staples like just pepperoni or cheese pizza always on the bar...but I was wrong. We got the attention of the workers who was seating people to ask for a pepperoni pizza...she was pleasant and said she would get one in....after waiting close to 10 minutes she came back out to the bar with the pepperoni----- but only 4 pieces. Is that normal to only bring out half of a pizza??? Especially a staple type pizza like pepperoni? And it was busy in there by this time...so we literally raced to the bar and took all 4 pieces...there were 4 of us dining...we all took 1! My son literally just ate 1 piece of pizza and 1 bread stick....but I paid full price for his buffet! On to desserts....this was a straight up joke. There appeared to be room for 5 different types. So after we waited forever for our 1 piece of pizza, we wanted to see what the desserts were. When I walked up first....the bar was 100% EMPTY. Waited 5 minutes and a girl came out with half a tray of a cinnamon roll type dessert....sorry, my family cleared it out...EMPTY again. Another 5 minutes and a cookie thing came out...ooops- cleared that out quick. What we left, another family was right behind us to scoop what little was left. We even talked to each other about the lack of selection....and lack of a sense of urgency from any of the workers to fill the bar at that. Even whom I assumed was the manager couldn't be bothered to help employees full the bar. He stood behind the register and talked most of the night. The ONE and ONLY worker I saw working was a young lady working the salad bar side...she was hustling to keep it full...and it appeared she was the only one filling it...but she was doing a great job. We will NOT be coming back and will never recommend this place to anyone. Put some more pizza and desserts on your bar people!!! Half a pizza on a Saturday night is a flipping joke! And you should ALWAYS have the pepperoni and cheese...
Read moreI would love to personally hear from an owner or manager. This place is a total disaster and not worth the stop!
My cousins and I used to come to this specific pizza inn as kids with my grandparents. I clearly have not been here in years and probably won’t for several more! We walked in and we seated ourself as the sign directed. We sat for 10 minutes and nobody had asked what we wanted to drink. We looked around and found 5-6 dirty tables stacked with plates and food all over the floor. We got our plates and hoped when we sat back down the waitress was going to ask us for our drink order. The food was scarce and the floor was covered with food as you tried to walk through and grab what you wanted. 1/2 way through eating our plate of food the young lady asked us and delivered our drinks. We watched 2 families sit at the tables near the register waiting for someone to check them out. The waitress who had taken our drink order seemed to be doing everything alone which is beyond sad seeing as I could see 6 other employees just chilling in the back along with another waitress who just stood in the doorway of the kitchen just watching and staring while the other young lady did everything. Being a manager and working in fast food or customer service situations this pissed me off. I think what pissed me off the most is when we got to the register and our total was 31$ for what? We had hot drinks, the food was bare and the place was disgusting. Save yourself the trip. It’s not worth the money and it’s a nasty environment. I hope the young lady (Laundrie is what the ticket said) who I watched take care of everything while her coworkers failed her, finds a job that she can be appreciated and has a crew that works along side of her instead of letting her handle disasters on her own.
Picture attached is the table directly beside where we sat that a family left when we arrived and I snapped this picture when we were...
Read moreMy family went to eat at Pizza Inn located in Fruitland, Missouri. We had just sat down to start eating and my son was about 1/2 way through eating his first piece of pizza when he bit into a fly. The fly was not on top of the pizza it was actually under the cheese cooked into the pizza. I got one of the waitresses attention and told her what happened, so she said she would get the manager. A male staff member came out and we showed him the fly and his exact works were “it’s a restaurant it happens”. We explained that we didn’t feel we should have to pay for our bill because we hadn’t even eaten 2 pieces of pizza between the 3 of us and lost our appetite. He looked at us and told us he couldn’t do that but that he could maybe give us $3 off our bill, so we asked if he was the main manager to which he said no, so we asked to speak to the main manager. The manager came out we showed him the fly and explained that it would be different and understandable if the fly were on top of the pizza, but not cooked into the middle of the pizza. We just wanted to leave and did not feel that we should have to pay for the buffet when we had only eaten 2 pieces of pizza. He at first said he would make another pizza which is not what we wanted after losing our appetite, so he looked at us as if we were crazy for even suggesting not paying. After much hesitation he offered 50% discount so we still ended up paying $18 for 2 slices of pizza! Our waitress brought our ticket over and showed that 50% was taken off and she said she was sorry for whatever happened so we told her it was because there was a fly cooked into our pizza and her exact words were “yeah that’s happened a few times”. I will NEVER go back to Pizza Inn not necessarily because of a fly in one piece of pizza, but because of their customer service and the fact that they believe that it’s normal to have an occasional fly/bug in food because it’s a...
